Even after the smell was almost gone, the "freshener" used was making us sick, so we checked into a hotel for the night on our own dime.

Maintenance replaced the filter that had the spray on it the next day.

Management ordered an inspection of our HVAC unit to find the root cause of the smell, but we have yet to see the report.

Overall a frustrating experience, which management and maintenance made some effort to address.

I think the worst part of this was having staff be disrespectful to us in our own home.

We really loved this place. It's perfectly located to the entrance of downtown Esco, easy freeway access and a lot of shopping! It's in a safe area and is a gated community. All apartments come with two bedrooms, two bath AND a detached garage! There's a small dog area which is just big enough to stretch legs without going too far.

Staff/management is so responsive and kind. The property manager (Camile) is prompt, happy and handles everyone with care aka a ROCKSTAR! There's a pool and jacuzzi that make that place so cozy as well!

As long as you don't expect your deposit

My family has been living here for almost 2 years and we have no complaints. Camile, the manager, is really sweet and responds to e-mails very fast. The maintenance/cleaning/landscaping people keep the place looking clean and polished. The apartments are spacious and the master bedrooms are huge. There are no roaches or ants inside, which is great. Tells you that the apartments are maintained and well taken care of. Very pet friendly, they have a little dog park inside. Parking would probably be my only complaint, but that is out of their control. We have a paid parking inside. The garage space

Quiet but way too expensive for the size and the area, it is advertised as being very close to the transit center but you have to walk around many blocks to use pedestrian crossings to get to the transit center or risk jay walking since it is only 100 feet away.

The customer service for their offsite team is over the top awesome.

However the on site staff is flaky, I set up three appointments to tour the apartments, drove from far away to take a closer look, waited for an hour each time during business hours, and staff never showed up. The phone numbers listed are all for the offsite team and there is no way to contact the actual office. Really disappointed with this place. Not moving here.

I moved into Artesia Escondido in Oct 2015 was told there would be no smoking in units and also on the outside area. Well my neighbor would smoke everyday in the unit and also on the patio. I would come home from work and my unit would smell like cigarettes everywhere they closed off my vents that didn't work. After a year was up they put 3 different lease agreements on my door with different amounts one was from me paying 1585.00 plus $25 for a parking space because the garage a super tiny . My rent for the new year would be going up $150.00 more after 1 year. Summer 2016 a rodent was spotted

Been living here for a little over a year and we absolutely love it we have hadn't had any issues. They are very pet friendly which is extremely hard to find. Scott the new property manager is very on top of everything and a lot better than the previous ones we've had. Never have had to wait on a maintenance issue to be fixed with in reason. All the staff are extremely professional and friendly.

I've been living here over a year and I really love this place. Our neighbors are friendly and if we had an issue such as maintenance it was always fixed in a timely matter. We just renewed our lease for another year and I'm pretty sure we will stay with Artesia for a while

I've been living here a while now and for the cost and what you get is really good. It's crazy quiet at night and you don't have to deal with people coming in and out all the time like other apartments. They also do a pretty good job taking care of the place and the pool isnt always crazy busy. A nice place for a small family who likes to mind their own business. I'm surrounded by good neighbors who are QUIET. I feel like the finally got the management right too!

Moved into Artesia Escondido a few months ago from the east county area. I would rather live there for what I was paying then Artesia Escondido any day. Worst management, some of the most disgusting neighbors and maintenance is half assed. Dumpsters are over flowing on a daily basis, idiots park in the red zone all day everyday and park in front of your garage like dicks, and when you try to talk to management, no one is around and when they are, they do nothing. NOT A DAMN THING! And there are no dramatics in these statements. Over $1,600 to live here and I feel like I live in a dump. The
