My wife and I lived here for only one year. We had nothing but problems from the get go.
The apartment we moved into was newly renovated. From the surface it did seem like a nice new apartment. However, everything about the apartment is cheap. We had several “new” cabinets that needed to be fixed several times because they kept falling off. They’re also crooked and don’t close all the way. This problem occurred both in the kitchen and in the bathroom.

I want to start off by saying the staff here is great, I've had nothing but good experiences with them. However the building itself is not great. There's constantly problems that have to be fixed multiple times and the water is shut off at least once a month for "repairs."Good area, great staff, but the buildings, water lines, foundations, etc are all outdated and it shows.

I can’t explain how frustrating this front office is. Communication is terrible. They seem to pick and choose who they wanna help and who they don’t based off the problem. Can’t ever get ahold of management in the office OR on the phone. Don’t rely on the manger Ashley to actually help you out because she won’t answer.

The maintenance staff was one of the better maintenance teams I have encountered in my experience as a renter. Management, however, was the total opposite - with Robin being the only exception. After Robin left, or was let go, there was a serious of subsequent managers. I do not have anything good to say about any of them. They turned my experience living at the Summit from good to absolutely terrible. Zero cordiality. Zero professionalism. One manager in particular was the reason me and numerous other tenants moved or were obligated to move out due to her hostile nature.

I lived at the summit for about 6 months and I normally don't write a review but I felt the need to warn other people about they shady practices of this complex. We moved out August the 5th and paid the buy out for the lease and had no issues. I advised Mary Anne that they could take whatever from the deposit to paid towards clean up and other things needed for the apartment. One of the issues I have is that we moved in the apartment and the carpet wasn't new it had stains, kitchen light didn't work, sink was leaking and the pipes were faulty under the sink and flooded the floor

So I've been here for 4 months and I want to leave. Upstairs is so freaking loud and put in many noise complaints they haven't done anything about it. They have various people coming in and out at 3am waking me up and I have to go to work. Their dog barks all the time yet we are the ones that get the complaints. There are neighbors who smoke weed and it stinks up the whole place. Yes I understand it's legal now but I have a professional job that prohibits it. Management is lazy, constantly closing the office several hours early, never answering the phone, an never returning calls. You’re open until 6pm for a reason, that reason being that sometimes people need to speak to you after work, or during the hours of 4pm-6pm. I have an extremely urgent issue I need to discuss with the staff right now as I write this at 5:30pm. Guess what! They closed early! I have been attempting to reach them for days and now it is too late. I move out tomorrow and have no idea what documents I may need to sign or papaerwork I may need to turn in.

My boyfriend and I just moved in here less than two months ago and already the maintenance service is impeccable... We particularly love Pedro... He is professional, kind and diligent. He does not leave our house until we are satisfied with everything we ordered .. he even makes sure to confirm that there's nothing else we might need maintenance on last minute before he leaves... He's always available almost within the next two hours of a service request.. We Summit

Lived here for two years. AWESOME neighbors and maintenance people are always quick and spot on. The real cup of tea is robin the manager. She is so nice and accommodating can't even count the times I have come in and kept her late with questions. Hopefully one day I can return.

I was blown away by the Professional, Courteous, and helpful customer service provided by the Summit Apartments Staff upon my arrival. They personally made sure that I knew where everything was and answered all of my questions, dumb or not.
The grounds are immaculate, and its obvious that the maintenance staff is ON THE JOB!! Every appliance and fixture was in working order, and the staff checked in on me to ensure that everything was to my satisfaction.
I look forward to many Happy Years at this fine complex!

I've lived in the Summit Apartments for almost a year now and I am getting ready to sign another year long lease again. Although this is my first apartment on my own, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! The amenities that are included in the affordable rent are awesome, everywhere else I looked cost the same amount, but I would have had to walk to a laundromat where I would have to wait to do my clothes, instead I have one right in my apartment! The office and maintenance staff have always been extremely helpful. Anytime something needed fixing, someone has always been here immediately

I am currently on my third year living at the Summit, and I can confidently say this will not be my last! Out of a good handful of apartment communities I've lived at, this place blows them all out of the water. Sure it's an incredible value for the money, but so are most places in Escondido...what sets the Summit apart is its value above other comparable apartments in the area (I've lived at one of the places I'm referring to so feel I'm expressing a pretty valid opinion). Not only do they offer monetary seniority by renting at a very reasonable price for the amenities

Getting ready to sign a third lease at The Summit Apartments in Escondido, CA. I have had the BEST experience with the office staff and the maintenance group. I have to compliment Robin, Gabe, Abbey and Carlos for their dedication to make the residents happy, and do whatever it takes to solve any problem you may have. I have been given a "fair" increase to my rent , and I look forward to many more years of living here!

I have lived here for about (6) months and my b/f and I moved here from a different state and this was the most welcoming community I've ever met. The gals in the office are very friendly and they always coordinate events for the community. For December it is a patio decorating contest and a party. The patio decorating contest is a first ever for us and we worked very hard on it so I am crossing my fingers we win. But back to the Summit, even the people who live around us have become our friends. Sure, no place is perfect. We did wait 6 months to get a garage when we were told it will be 1

If I could give zero stars, I would. I should have paid attention to the other reviews before moving in. So please take heed before signing a lease. I have never in my entire life had such shady dealings with an apartment complex. Here are the issues I had:
1) They don't adhere to office hours. I had a package that was delivered to the leasing office and I left work early to go get it. When I arrived the office was locked even though it was clearly within office hours. I called and emailed with no response. Later I was contacted and the office manager said she was there but she locked up
