Maintain clean, tidy home with kitchen and bath cleanup, linens, making beds regularly, etc. Lisa and Greg Hartwell founded Homecare California over ten years ago to fulfill their dream of helping Bay Area seniors remain at home as they age. They established the organization as a result of Lisa's work with Stanford Hospital's Partners in Caring program for local seniors.
Lisa saw firsthand the powerful impact one person could have on the life of a senior living alone at home. As a local, family-owned, non-franchised home care organization, Homecare California has been the vehicle for the Hartwell's to achieve their mission of caring for hundreds of seniors.

Services
Lisa Hartwell was inspired to found Homecare California through her volunteer work with Stanford University Hospital's Partners in Caring Program for Bay Area Seniors. As the Executive Director, Lisa is responsible for all care giver recruiting and client care. Lisa has been recognized as a Certified Home Care Aide Manager by the California Association of Health Services at Home.
Together with your care manager, you determine the time of day, and the frequency and duration of each care visit to maximize the benefit to your loved one. Many clients start out with care a few times per week and increase as their needs increase. Others need a lot of care to start and as they get better, they are able to selectively cut back.
90% of seniors prefer to age in the comfort of their own home. Daily and live-in care from Homecare California makes those wishes possible with one-on-one care. Your loved one gets the benefit of care during the most important times of morning, mid-day, and evening. Caregivers remain in the home throughout the day for the safety and confidence of your loved one.
Homecare California has an affordable solution to help keep management of you or your loved one's medications under control. We've partnered with a local organization of registered nurses that will come to your home to assist you in managing your medications. With the help of a California licensed registered nurse, you can get help managing your medications.
As part of our free care management services, we facilitate related services that our clients find very valuable. The average senior takes 14 different kinds of medication. It's no wonder that medication mismanagement is a major cause of unplanned hospitalization. Homecare California clients have access to private registered nurses that can provide medication setup and ongoing management under their own nursing licenses.

I can't say enough great things about HomeCare California. They provided a much needed life line as we were struggling with trying to find the best situation for my dad who was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimers. Their care manager was very knowledgable, had great insight and provided options that led us to a wonderful solution for him that has given us great peace of mind.

HomeCare California has diligently worked with us since our mother was hospitalized in June, then with support care at her senior facility unit in the Los Gatos-Saratoga area. Stacey Roman, a Senior Client Care Manager, met us at mom's residence to answer questions and review the contract before any commitment. (HomeCare also easily passed all legal screening requirements of the senior facility.) The nurse assistants have been wonderful, gentle and supportive (one exception) as our time schedules and needs shifted. Maka, one of the first, was a gem. Recently, the schedule has settled and we

I have a 96 year old mother that needed help every day with dressing, showering, cooking, shopping and house cleaning. I discovered HomeCare California by searching Google and reading the Yelp reviews of prior clients. They seemed to get a lot of 5 Star ratings so I gave them a call and they have done everything to ease my worries and stress in taking care of my mother. Sheilah Cendejas has worked with me over the time in changing hours and changing care givers.
I recommend them highly as a source for Elder Care Needs.

Rosa Baltodano and her team have been fantastic to work with since my mother needed homeware after breaking her hip. There is no way we could have done it without her. Rosa's communication & organizational skills are outstanding and and her team member, Natividad Duran has been amazing in scheduling and meeting our coverage needs. My mother's recovery has been greatly enhanced due to the care and assistance from Homecare California. Highly recommended!

My 94 father needed part time assisted care. It was very difficult to find a good provider. We went thru 3 different caregivers and pretty much gave up hope. I ended up getting a referral regarding Homecare California. I talked with Greg and his team and decided to give them a try. Well things have been going great for the last 3 months since I called Homecare California. They have provided excellent care and have been very responsive to our needs.

Stacey Roman and her team are top notch and we would definitely use them again.
My mom was in an independent living community in San Jose and unfortunately she encountered unexpected and alarmingly fast dementia. We could not find a memory care unit for her due to the waiting list and we needed 24 by 7 personal care to keep mom safe - immediately.
Stacey and her team of professionals have dementia care experience and were able to put together a 24 by 7 schedule of care givers to help mom within 8 hours of my call.
Mom had to go to the ER during one of the care giver rotations, and this

I have been working with Homecare California for some time now and have been very pleased with their services. Sheilah is very easy to work with on scheduling; she follows up quickly and is always understanding about changes I need to make in managing the care for my father. Not every caregiver is perfect, but they have all been willing to learn my father's needs. Homecare California has never sent a caregiver who was obviously ill-suited, such as someone way too small or fragile to handle a 150-pound man. Unfortunately, that has sometimes happened with other homecare providers.

Homecare California is more than just an in home care provider. They are like family. Their clients are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I've known the owners for years, we've shared clients and if my parents were still alive, I wouldn't hesitate to hire Homecare California to care for them!

I can't say enough about the attention and care that this amazing family run care organization did for our family. Greg and Lisa the owners are the most caring individuals and were so thoughtful in placing the right caregiver for my brother when he was ill. It was a hard situation and they and the caregiver were so sensitive to his needs. I would highly recommend Homecare California!

My 86 year old mother had a fall last month and needed daily help. Fortunately, Mom didn't need in-home medical care, however, she did need help around the house and outside (errands, appointments, etc.) as walking, even with her walker, was difficult. Homecare California has done an excellent job attending to my mother's needs. From the beginning, the staff has been professional, considerate and conscientious. We had an initial interview to determine how Homecare California could best help Mom. Since then, my family and I have felt comfortable that Mom, who lives alone in her house,

We've been incredibly impressed with Homecare California. As you can imagine, seeking support for a loved one is usually one of several stressful things that are simultaneously going on. Greg does a great job understanding the needs of his customers - asking thoughtful questions that helped get us the right caregiver "fit". They seem to do a great job recruiting talented and caring staff - as we were very impressed with those we met. A highly recommended solution for a stressful time.

Homecare California was referred to me by a friend who had their home care services to take care of their parents in San Mateo. They had a very positive experience and suggested I give them a call.
My mother lived alone in her house and had increasing signs of memory issues. As time went by it was clear that she would need to receive care at home or move into an assisted living community because of her mental decline. She had expressed a desire to remain at home after my father passed and I decided to respect her wishes by looking into care at home. At the time I knew very little about what

A few months ago, my wife fell and broke some ribs. We realized we needed some assistance. Christina was amazing at helping us figure out what level and amount of care was appropriate. She was sensitive to the cost and focused on getting the best care at the best value for our needs.
When our circumstances unexpectedly changed Homecare California was right there to help us through the next stage even though it did not benefit their bottom line at all. They were completely focused on help in more ways than I can list.
Thanks to Christina and Belinda for all you did for us and thanks to the

We contacted Homecare California to see about part-time care for my Sister-n-law's Father, having heard good things about them in our local newspaper.
From our first contact with Homecare California we received a wealth of good information from the Care Manager we spoke to, she asked just the right questions to help us decide our next steps. The staff there works diligently to make the process the most caring for you and your loved one. They provide a full no-commitment assessment and were ready for all of our difficult questions. We've been clients of Homecare California for many months now and are very happy with everything they've done for our family. They took time to understand our situation and quickly provided us with a number of caregivers to interview. We were able to quickly find someone who was a *perfect* fit -- she has become an invaluable extension of our family.
