My car was towed to Nelcon Towing and Recovery (Middletown) after an accident. I was not allowed to pick up the car the same day. I was told that they were short staffed, and the car needed to be examined to see if it was drivable. I came up the next day to pick up my car. The window was left open all night as there was water coming out of the car door handle and there was water on the door frame. They had used an electrical strap to tie my key to the steering column. I asked the employee if he has something that I could use to cut the strap. He pulled out a hunting knife and cut it off

This review is for Nelcon of North Haven I believe. And more specifically at that location, for Kenny the driver and Nicole the dispatch operator? Not sure of her actual title but she answered the phone and got my situation under control, so dispatch? Anyway, her and Kenny, were outstanding. It was approximately 2pm and I had been trying to get a tow since about 10am, I was blown off by one company, and another company quoted a time that was even longer than the original time. Couldn't ask for better service and a reasonable price. I had a tough situation with my boat trailer when the axle bent and I was stranded on the side of the road. I called someone else and thankfully they connected me with Sal at Nelcon. He came in his own truck with his son right away to check it out (must have been out enjoying his Saturday, but came anyway to bail me out of my jam). Turns out he is the owner and now I know why they are one of the most successful towing operations around. Within 45 minutes, my boat and trailer were winched on to his rig and soon after that, they were safe

The driver showed up promptly for a car tow & that was the only positive of my experience with this company. The driver was rude, insisted on trying to fix my car just enough for me to be able to drive it home, when it really needed it be towed. After showing him my triple a membership card he asked to see my car registration & demanded that those are the rules. I've had my car towed using my triple a service more than 5 times and I've never had a driver ask for that information. I wasn't able to find my registration and pulled it up on the DMV website to show that it was

Had a very pleasant experience with Nelcon. Although ive never been towed or had a flat, having nelcon there made it much easier. Josh was very helpful and thoughtful and made his best effort to help this very frustrating time. Thankful to have someone who knew what they were doing. It did not go unrecognized.
