I'm pretty sure that everyone's nightmare is for their car to breakdown while on a road trip, which is exactly what happened to us. We knew we needed a trustworthy shop that would help us out and get us back on the road as soon as possible. Hummel's went above and beyond to help us in this nightmare situation! I asked them to do something in an untimely manner and they didn't disappoint. The mechanic I spoke to that worked on my truck was knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. The front office are on top of things and most importantly they had every opportunity to raid my checking account and didn't do it. 5 stars all day long.

Wonderful shop to work with. My car threw a check engine light at me and lost power. They were able to get in the parts within a few days and have a fair price. The car is running great so far. The shop was just a little slow on communicating, but they were busy so that is understandable. Would highly recommend again, and I will be going back next time.

Perhaps the best experience I have ever had and working with automobile repair and maintenance. I responded to a coupon for an oil change, as I was looking for a automobile repair Connection in this area, being new to St George. I expect to get the usual pressure to buy an air filter or some other part or service. At the end of the oil change, they told me that there were issues that I had with my vehicle they would send them to me in a text and I could decide if I would use their services. As they say "I usually don't take the time to write reviews". However, in this case I truly want too. My wife was driving home from Vegas and our truck transmission went bad and she had to drive into St George at about 5 miles per hour. Before she arrived I told her I would call around and find a place that would take a look at it. After being recommended to this facility by my trusted local mechanic (who could not do a full engine replacement), we had it towed from my home town to St. George, eighty-five miles, for what was going to be a large chunk of money on an 2012 Ford Edge with two more years to pay on. With this level of financial challenges we were concerned about blindly taking it to someone we didn't know previously. And this is our daily driver, with no reliable second car.

Passing through town on a holiday weekend and having overheating issues with our Lexus. Monday July 5th all the auto repair shops in and around St George were closed except Hummels, called them up and they were able to get us in despite their full schedule. They were able to diagnose the problem and make the repairs, we were back on the road within a couple hours.
Absolutely outstanding friendly professional service that was able to help us in a pinch and get us back on the road.

My husband and I had such a fantastic experience here. We are traveling around the country in our F250 van, and had to get towed to town after our ignition cut out on us. After calling from the tow truck, Hummel's was able to get us in that same day, and we were on our way by around 2pm the next day. They were even ok with us sleeping in our van in their parking lot, which saved us more money than having to get a hotel.

WOW!! Amazed at these folks. I’m a parent of a Snow Canyon High School student who has a car that they put a new motor in as a project and it had a problem they couldn’t figure out so Hummel was recommended to assist and that is 110% what they did. Hummel Automotive donated their time and resources on this under budget auto shop project and they got it all fixed FREE of charge! Seriously, how could ANYONE do it any better. I came in with my Subaru, I had just come in from California car was overheating. Over the phone they told me they were going to charge me $39.99 to check my heads. I thought that was a fair price I went in talked with the guy at the front desk he confirmed for me $39.99. When they took my car into the shop they ran their test and did whatever. I had a great experience here! My family got into town over the weekend and as soon as we pulled into our parking spot, we heard the breaks grind. I was a bit bummed thinking maybe we can't get it fixed until the end of the week. Long story short, they got us in on Monday afternoon to diagnose the issue and had us out with new breaks by end of day. The owner and employees were super friendly, trustworthy, and helpful. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

This is a great auto repair/diagnosis shop! I was in town to buy a car an Hummel's was the only shop that would even take the time during the holiday weekend to help me with the pre-purchase inspection! Other shops flat out said it wasn't worth their time...but not Hummel's! They fit me in fairly quickly and were extremely helpful and gave me a thorough inspection that left me confident in my purchase! They didn't pull any punches, which was exactly what I wanted... to know exactly what I was buying!

The crew at Hummel's Automotive are great! I'm saved there contact in my phone, and I don't even live there.
I was in town for some off-roading fun, and broke the jeep. These guys came highly recommended, and so glad they did. I felt like I have been going there for years, the whole crew was very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me out in a pinch and turned out a repair very quickly, then Johnathan gave me his card and sent me on my way.
Cut to a later that evening, in the sand dunes, and I broke the jeep again (in a different place) A quick text to Jonathan's number

My car overheated and melted the engine block while driving through Southern UT on I-15. I was able to get the car towed to Hummel's, and after a quick inspection, they gave me the bad news that the engine was toast, which I already knew. :( However, they quickly gave me options for replacing the engine. In the end we ended up scrapping the car, because the replacement cost was more than the car was worth. But they even helped with finding someone to take the car off our hands. Thanks Jonathan and crew.

While rolling through Utah in a rented RV, John agreed to see us for emergency repairs and diagnostics @ 6pm when other shops wouldn't.
John was calm, informative, and even waded through the barrage of questionable work done to our RV t pinpoint cause and fixes. He even drove to meet us in the town next door later that evening when we needed him.

Beyond amazing customer service! Was able to get an RV in for electrical repairs last minute and was welcomed to great care for the entire family, pets too. Our repairman was John and he went above and beyond his duties as a repairman. He serviced our RV after hours and even drove out a few miles to help us out. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, especially when you're in an unknown area like we were. Highly recommend his shop to anyone in need of some repairs.

I have nothing but praise's to speak about this shop. My family and I were driving from California to Utah in a rented RV when everything started falling apart. First the AC went out, which was excruciating due to the 100+ degrees outside. Then the turning signals and brake lights stopped working. We were in dire need to get off the road and find help!!! After calling numerous shops and being turned away John at Hummel's answered our prayers. Extremely courteous over the phone and calming, which helped cause I was in panic mode with an RV full of sweaty irritated children and family
