Since 2001, Nuview optometry has been the leading eye care professional servicing Costa Mesa, Newport Beach and surrounding Orange county area. As a child, Dr. Shea had a bad eye sight, he knew early on that he wanted to help others to have a good vision health. It was a clear to him that he wanted to embark on the path of becoming a health care professional.
NuView Optometry offers a wide range of services to our patients, ranging from regular eye exams to caring for very specific eye conditions. At Nuview Optometry we provide our patients with the latest technology to elevate your comprehensive eye exam with detailed information on your health of the retina.
We have served families seeking excellent eye care throughout the Orange County area, including Irvine, Newport Beach, Tustin, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, and Huntington Beach. We are minutes from the 55 freeway, close to the OC Fairgrounds, nearest Harbor Boulevard and West Wilson Street. Our second office is located in Santa Ana on N. Main Street & E. Santa Ana Blvd, conveniently located near the Santa Ana City Hall.
These have three main zones for distance, intermediate and reading, so users can enjoy the convenience of not having to take their glasses on and off and can view all distances in one lens. Bifocals are sectioned into two distinct parts, which give the user clear distance and near, with no transition or correction in between.
A comprehensive contact lens evaluation is very important because only an eye doctor can properly measure your need for vision correction. During the examination the doctor can determine which size and what type of contact lens is best for you. Your prescription for contact lenses requires different information than a prescription for eyeglasses.

Very helpful and reasonably priced. The receptionist went out of her way to help us find a specific pair of frames from Oakley and the lenses we got put into the frames we had weren't too expensive compared to other places we shopped around!

Hands down the best optometrist ever. The entire office is wonderful. They are super convenient and helpful. I email them the glasses I need and they do the rest for me. Online services can't even compare to their customer service. When I went in for my eye appointment a year ago Dr. Shea was professional and personable. Seriously, if you are looking for a new optometrist this is the office to go to.
