Our founder, Dr. Steven S. Grant, owned and operated Grant Optometric Group from 1973 until 2015. He was licensed to use therapeutics in California and had passed the National Board Exam in treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Grant is nationally recognized as an expert in the optometric field.
We pride in providing the best eyeglasses and services possible, using the latest technology available to make your examinations fast, accurate, and tailored to your needs. We perform comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, macular degeneration testing, glaucoma testing, nerve fiber analysis, vision screening, and much more.
We provide many types and brands of contact lenses ranging from rigid gas permeable to daily and monthly disposables. We also carry several brands in stock for your convenience so that they will be available to you as soon as possible, which is especially helpful to our patients who have medically-necessary contact lens needs.
We provide consultation and co-management for our patients who are considering LASIK or have recently undergone LASIK surgery for vision correction. For those interested in the procedure, our doctors will thoroughly explain what is involved, what you can expect, what the requirements are for LASIK, and provide you with a thorough evaluation to determine whether or not you are a candidate for the surgery.
Vision problems can occur at any age, and children in school need to have their vision corrected to help ensure they are able to function at the highest level. Vision issues can lead to impaired learning and difficulty in school. Our doctors provide your children with excellent care and will be more than happy to provide your school with any required examination reports.

Grant Optometric Group is amazing! I cannot rave about the staff and doctors enough. Dr. Benjamin Szu has been my optometrist for the past three years and my eyes have never been in better condition. Every eye exam is extremely detailed and I always leave the office with a wealth of knowledge. First of all there was absolutely no waiting time. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the friendly staff members we have not waited a minute for anything as eye exam started right on scheduled time.

I have been going to Grant optimetrics for 10 years and I can't recommend Dr. Kevin Grant highly enough. Dr. Grant is amazing, he takes so much time and care with his patients. Kind and thoughtful, Dr. Grant is super responsive and available for questions at any time. I was recently diagnosed with a condition that was hard to spot - he tracked it over years and quite possibly saved my vision. A couple of years ago I went in for a routine visit. Dr. Grant alerted me to the fact that I had a partial detachment of the retina in my left eye. If this had not been caught I could very well have lost the sight in my left eye. I immediately had procedures to rectify this situation. I also ended up having to have work done on both eyes.
Now I have returned to Dr. Grant an he explained why I am seeing double, one of the procedures I had at Kaiser affected a muscle in my right eye causing it to not track with the left eye.

So I just recently visited Dr. Grant and have now been a few times. With an honest review, hands down THE best optometrist in town. The care, patience and knowledge is second to none. I had previously purchased frames and lenses from him a few times now. My prescription was out of date, so I had new lenses installed and for the first time purchased for myself a pair of prescription sunglasses . Best decision ever! They fit incredibly well (thanks to Dr.Grant & his staff). Dr.Grant found the perfect pair for my face shape (some of course has to do to my preference) and nailed it on the 2nd pair

I usually am one to read other peoples' reviews however, I wanted to acknowledge the amazing doctors and staff that work here and their exceptional customer service. After being referred to by another doctor, I went to Dr. Szu for my dry eye issues and he was very attentive and caring. He was very knowledge on the subject which made me comfortable. I knew I was in good hands.

My son and I both went to Grant Optometric Group for an eye exam and eye dilation. Turns out my son has eagle-eyes while I needed new lenses. Dr. Grant & team were fantastic throughout, and very mindful of cleanliness and safety procedures, limited number of patients in the office, all wore masks, and sanitized surfaces/equipment after each use. I wanted to put the new lenses in my old frames, so Dr. Grant really went the extra mile for me and provided an extra pair of glasses with my old prescription as a backup until my frames/lenses come back. Let's talk about efficiency and professionalism!
I came here after having severe pain in my left eye. Turned out my current Optometrist was closed that day so I had to go hunting for a temporary one. They did all the testing, exams and determined I had a corneal ulcer. Not my first rodeo... but SUPER PAINFUL. (Don't sleep in your contacts kids).
Dr. Grant and Szu took such great care of me! They were still so sweet and understanding knowing I had another eye doctor. Although I am really sad I can't have two Optometrist's, I can leave happy knowing I was in incredible hands

Both Dr Szu and Dr Grant helped me and they are literally the best!

Superior service. I came in because I broke my glasses and needed a new prescription. Dr. Grant fixed my glasses free of charge and on my follow up dialation appointment he gave me a complementary optic nerve exam. I've never had this test offered at various optometrist offices i've been to and I appreciated the courtesy and security he went through to make sure im healthy.
