Routine, annual eye exams are important to maintain optimal vision sharpness, treat new or existing problems, and detect eye conditions or other serious health conditions. We provide screening for all eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic-related eye diseases to maintain eye health and wellness.
Dr. Choi was born and raised in Southern California. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Mass Communications from UC Berkeley. After graduation, her inspiration to become an optometrist was sparked when she went on a medical mission trip to Belize. The ability to change people's lives through healthcare motivated her to obtain her doctorate at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.

My first impressions of an efficient yet friendly office were borne out with my first visit. Dr. Choi and her staff run an organized and professional office and my eye exam and contact lens fitting were a seamless experience. They also worked to maximize my insurance benefit. I am over 60 and Scope has been the first to successfully introduce me to contact lenses! This staff is amazingly responsive and helpful... the scheduling, the follow ups, and any help along the way with glasses/ contacts. I was a little high maintenance after not having contacts for a long time, and also needed some help after the fact with my scripts, and they were right there along the way. It was refreshing to deal with people that care and want to help. I look forward to returning and would highly recommend their business.

The store is spacious, contemporary, and spotlessly clean; The people there are very friendly, enthusiastic, and patient during the eye exam, personalized frame recommendation, and glasses adjustion. An overall wonderful experience! I made an appointment online which was super simple. Dr. Choi and Amber are so warm and inviting. From the examination to choosing frames, both of them were thorough and attentive. I also received my prescription glasses in less than one week! I will never go anywhere else for glasses. One of the best selections of eyewear I've ever seen at an office. I love that they carry so many independent eyewear lines, many of which are local to the area. My boyfriend was able to use his insurance and got a discount on a second pair of sunglasses. One of my favorite pairs of sunglasses were missing its nose pads and I was able to get them replaced. The optician helping us was so nice and had great recommendations. If you're looking for unique and high quality glasses, this is the place to check out. I will definitely be back.

I've been working from home and have had acute headaches from eye strains. I've never had glasses and haven't had an eye exam done in over 10 years. I was so fortunate to get my eye exam done by Dr. Choi. Dr. Choi was extremely knowledgeable and kind. She really helped me understand how important it is to have the correct prescription for my vision needs. Not only am I fully cured and no longer have headaches, I also have a great pair of stylish Garrett Leights. I had my first visit to Scope and was impressed by the very thorough eye exam with very advanced technology that really demonstrates the health of your eyes. It reassured me around concerns I've had because I was wondering if I had a deeper issue than just needing a stronger prescription. I had a great experience at Scope Optometry! I've been looking for a new eye doctor for awhile and I'm glad I found Dr. Choi. If you have astigmatism, dry eyes, OR have a high prescription don't go anywhere else for your eye exams! I have moved around frequently so have had to see many optometrists but only Dr. Choi was able to find a contact prescription that fit my right eye well. She recommended an adjustment that made wearing contacts so much more comfortable and I no longer have to look for the tiny indent on my contacts to make sure I fit them in perfectly in order to see well. My wife and I went in with our two girls ages 2 and 4 and she was so friendly and patient with us throughout our entire visit. Just left Scope Optometry...BEST PLACE FOR AN EYE EXAM AND GLASSES! Dr. Choi is amazing and patient. She was super thorough during the examination and explained everything she was doing. She voiced her concerns and gave me a vision plan.
Unlike other places...I I didn't feel rushed at all when picking glasses. She and her assistant researched frames and colors I wanted. I ended up purchasing a pair of Celine and YSL glasses.

Dr. Choi is so patient and is there to listen to all your eye concerns. Wasn't able to find a good optometrist so I haven't got my eyes checked for a few years but I am glad I have Dr. Choi now. Love Scope Optometry! First time getting contacts and Dr. Choi was so attentive and patient helping me find the right prescription and how to put them in and take them out in a matter of minutes. Her associate Amber, was also so helpful and professional with following up. The office is easy to access with parking out front and it's thoughtful design, being clean and modern, with state of the art equipment. Also, a great selection of curated, modern and classic frames. Came here to get my eyes checked since it's been a couple of years from my last eye exam. Dr. Choi was great! She was very attentive and explained things thoroughly answering all of my questions regarding my eye health. She even noticed my glasses were a bit wobbly and tightened the screw on them and even applied a sample defogger wipe because she noticed that my glasses were fogging up due to my mask.
The eyewear selection was also great, some brand names that aren't the ones you typically find in a normal store. There were these interesting glasses with magnetic sunglass lenses

Stopped by Scope Optometry for a pair of glasses for the hubs. He doesn’t normally wear glasses but since Covid I wanted him to wear while on travel and for work. The office is super chic and modern. They have a good selection of mostly independent designers. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up picking a pair of Garrett Leight and they are super cute! I might steal them from my husband but maybe I need to get my own. I’ll be back for sure.
