Our dentists will thoroughly examine your teeth and take any necessary x-rays of the area to prepare for the dental implant. The implant is placed into the bone, and we cover the implant with a protective healing cap so that it can heal securely. After the abutment is attached, we affix the crown to the abutment.

The procedure begins with preparation of the natural teeth, or abutments. We will shape the abutment teeth so that the ends of the bridge will fit comfortably on each one. I have been going to University Place Smiles for a year now and they are hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. Over the course of my life, I've had a lot of anxiety with dentists and costs for genetic reasons where I've needed extra care, but the staff here has always been so patient and understanding with me. I love this place. All staff members are amazing. Dr. Chi had all my work done in one visit and his assistants Hailey, Precious, Brea, and Hannah, make me feel so comfortable with all the procedures. I came from an awful visit from another dental office and left me bruised for a couple days. This place was the complete opposite! Dr. Byun was so sweet and gentle, it was a comfortable and welcoming experience. I really appreciate how thoughtful she is about my prior experience and she eased my anxieties by telling me step by step of what she was doing. She updated me on everything about my oral health and what the next visit was going to be like. And seriously cared about my comfort throughout my treatment! She is fast and a gentle doctor, which anybody can appreciate.

I am terribly nervous about going to the dentist and the dental assistant Precious was amazing! She talked me through everything and was both funny and helpful. I haven't seen a dentist in at least a year.
I was told I had an infection and needed a root canal cleaning, but they would have to refer me to an endodontist.
They didn't clean my teeth.
They only had one endodontist to refer to yet there was a 6-week wait.
In other words, you have an infection, but since you're battling illness, who cares, go make the phone calls and do it yourself.
One of the Asian dental techs had the ovaries to say that I "wasn't a Christian anymore".
The joys of MediCaid and MediCare for the disabled and elderly...

I went to UP smiles on Bridgeport in Tacoma,for my first visit it went ok.they told me that I needed a 2 root canals and a crown totaling $1800 that they could take two payments on 900 each.im on a fixed income and dialysis with a heart surgery pending.my heart doc said I have to have those teeth repaired or remove before surgery.l told the dentist that l can't afford the $1800,so l made an appt on 3/22/21 to have 1 tooth removed.after a 1 1/2 hrs of the dentist breaking my tooth and hurting my lip,l said l can't take anymore pain.so they told me to come back on 3/29/21 to see the senior

Update: Yuriy Bagadasaeov worst "professional" I've had to be in the "care" of. Does not listen to patient at all, so forget him hearing your concerns. Had him once, asked to never see him again. Had to go in for pain and he was there, I was obviously unhappy but in pain. By the end of my visit, I was asking who I could speak to about it and he approached the FRONT counter, interrupting me speaking to the receptionist while there was another patient in the waiting room sitting in the chair closest to the front desk. After being patients there for 2-3 yrs I thought we were getting decent care. Then they dropped us because my son "did not show up twice". Well, I had called myself the prev. week and left a vm letting them know...
Then the kicker found a new dentist and I had more than10 cavities/or exposed Dentin (the layer under enamel) sitting there and a cracked molar!! Jeez, this place told me I just had "sensitive teeth"... if you are in crisis and need an "apt. Today" then call. Otherwise, you might keep looking.

After the interaction on the phone with the front desk girl and her rudeness. I quickly cancelled my appt, found a new dentist and happily told UPS GOOD BYE! I would not even waste my time with this place. Its not that clean and the front desk staff is more incompetent about answering questions with the proper answers. Saying "ill have a doctor call you back" and saying BYE before we finished our conversation is very one sided when dealing with clients. Get rid of that girl and retrain your staff to show compassion and not race through the call. Not to mention the doctors NEVER call

This place is a SCAM. I was lured in with a ValPak coupon to get a cleaning done while I was inbetween dental insurances. Their dentist told me I had SIX cavities in teeth that had never had problems before and that I didn't have any pain in. They told me I would need $1500 worth of work done but it would only cost half that if I signed up for their membership program (which was twice the cost of the cleaning, so I was tricked into paying more for a membership I'll never use). This is one of the best dentist offices I've ever been to! They were very nice and answered all the questions I had for them. I felt like they did a great job explaining what they were doing next and making sure I was okay. They had complimentary coffee and tea. Since writing this review I was dropped as a patient and cannot schedule my cleaning covered by my insurance or have a tooth that was worked on by this company checked out that has been having problems since the work was done.
The reason I waited to have the cleaning done was because I instructed to do so. I had a problem with a tooth and was told to wait until the problem resolved. Apparently I called right after the plan expired and was told to call back in September for the cleaning covered by my insurance.
I felt it was bogus that my insurance was used and I had to wait a year to use
