Dr. Mark Burnett DDS is located minutes from Tacoma and Fircrest in University Place. University Place was annexed from Tacoma in 1995. Locals many times refer to University Place as West Tacoma as it bumps up to the Puget Sound. The City of Tacoma and University Place weave between South 12th and South 19th Street, and is minutes from Tacoma Community College (TCC).

I was referred to Dr. Burnett by a coworker after another dentist told me I needed 8 fillings. Although I would have gone ahead with the fillings if necessary, this was my first visit with this particular dentist and I figured it would be wise to get a second opinion. When I saw Dr. Burnett he only advised me to get 2 fillings with a couple of other teeth to "watch." He literally saved me thousands of dollars, I'm so grateful. Another bonus, this office uses nitrous gas with cleanings. I have sensitive teeth and have had some very uncomfortable/painful teeth-cleaning experiences

I have never had a good experience at any dental office until today. I'm pleased to say that Dr. Bennett is my new dentist! I can't believe how kind he was during my visit, and his staff.
I went to his office to get help on a tooth that a different dentist office decided not to finish and not tell me anything about until I went back in in pain. So naturally I expected the same routine... sit down, have an anxiety attack and sweat bullets. Been the same

Great dentist! This coming from a true coward. I had bad experiences in my youth and am still nervous about anything going on in my mouth. Thank goodness for complimentary nitrous oxide...which I really only need when there is going to be drilling.
Doctor has a great sense of humor and banters with the assistant while working.
Will let you know if you need to pay more attention to your daily dental regime but will also give you contrats when you are obviously following good dental hygene.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Burnett and his great staff.

I kind of love my dentist a little. Which means a lot, because I have been previously terrified of dentists and their sharp tools, and non-gentle ways, and judgmental talking-to's about all the things I'm doing wrong in my life.... ok, maybe just with regard to my teeth.
I had an insane toothache at work one day, and my manager told me I should see her dentist rather than continue my suffering. She called up and managed to get them to fit me in the same day! Dr. Burnett fixed me up, and I was so pleased when I left that I even went back two weeks later for a cleaning... and then two
