Transitions Counseling is a warm and inviting space in a convenient location. The intake process is very easy. Heather is great, she has a calm and understanding demeanor and has provided me with a safe space to share.

* Started working with therapist who seemed to be a junior. She was OK but had to stop seeing me due to her upcoming time-off. It is really unfair to spend a number of sessions with someone who is taking a break for a few months. I feel it was a waste of my time and my money. They should have told us about the break before the first session
* A senior therapist took over and in all fairness, she was pretty good. I had to go through everything again that I already went through with the previous therapist. You know get to know each other and go through the history takes time
* Once I stopped going

Had Nichole as a social worker a few years ago and she was pretty bad, at least at the time. Very disinterested in the patient, and the work itself. Her, and one other of the staff at Transitions were involved in the Bridgewater Hospital scandals I found out after the fact.

I am EXTREMELY selective about my therapists because have some specific expectations about the therapeutic process, so I tend to interview therapists extensively before selecting on one. Nicole was one of the very few that I clicked with immediately, and she believes strongly in guidance and support and that her role is to provide perspective and feedback without telling me what to do. I have worked with her for years and have grown so much and developed as a person thanks to her professionalism and experience.
