Gilly's House offers the opportunity for social, educational and vocational growth. The daily structured schedule reinforces a lifestyle free of alcohol and drug use. Transitional life skills including healthy living, social services, career exploration, personal finance and self-help groups, along with an opportunity for counseling and 12 Step group meetings, is integral to the success of this program.

A link leading from the past to the future, Gilly's House is a residential opportunity for men who have struggled with addiction and want to continue their recovery. It offers a stable, structured and supportive environment to achieve personal goals while attaining the transitional life skills necessary to reintegrate into community life.
Barbara Gillmeister, co-owner of Gilly's, mother to Steven "Gilly". To bring meaning to Steven's life, Gilly's House was established. I look at this disease from the perspective of a parent. I have a Master's Degree in Special Education and I work with blind and visually impaired children. We work hard every day to help those looking for recovery.
Gilly had a big smile and an even bigger heart, and those who were close to him knew of his ability to light up a room and make friends wherever he went. He was always joking and laughing, and could make you laugh no matter what kind of day you were having. He would make up songs to cheer you up if you were having a bad day, and would drop anything to help someone in need.
I'm glad to see so many people supporting this cause today. I don't think there is anyone here today who would disagree with the fact that drug addiction, drug overdoses and drug overdose deaths have been skyrocketing. No longer is this just an inner city issue. It is in suburbia, in our communities, and in our neighborhoods.
We at Gilly's House have been so blessed by the support from the community that we would like to give back. Please wont you help those still struggling to get the help they need and deserve. I have visited and toured, I have not stayed nor do I know anyone personally that has stayed. However, I spent a great deal of time talking to owners, and staff and I took a tour. I have to contradict the negative review. In the time I spent I was able to see how it operated, and met a resident that was coming in from work. I witnessed a volunteer dropping off food and saw their pantry full. Plenty of healthy food available, there is a full kitchen that is stocked. I was told the rules and costs upfront. I was only a visitor donating and I was given all information upfront. Nothing hidden. The

Gilly’s House is the sort of recovery house that I wish my son had had the opportunity to live in. Instead, my family chose to honor his memory by dedicating a bedroom in his name. Renovating, furnishing and decorating Ian’s Room was a labor of love, as all the other bedrooms and common rooms were for the other families who dedicated these spaces to their sons who struggled with addiction and lost. I volunteer at another sober house through my church, and I must say that Gilly’s House is so warm and comfortable by comparison. The staff are serious about supporting men in their recovery and

It's a beautiful place that many call "HOME" filled with love, hope and light! The staff is unbelievable, so accommodating, helpful and will go above and beyond to help in any way possible. It's a safe, beautiful place for recovery. I highly recommend Gilly's House for anyone that is serious about recovery.

This project is amazing tribute to love and community. Home was the first instution since the beginning of time it is the core element to civilized living. We find acceptance in our homes with lift each other… and grow into the contributors of sociaty that we ultimatly become. I am proud to have been lead by God to this community. My vision is that by creating a nurturing environment based on guidence, love, and acceptenptence we can give back to these men a fundamental element in there life they deserve and we all need.
