I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mei & Robert. The trial run was soothing & my makeup was light & romantic. My hair was braided in such a way that I felt like a princess. My wedding day was magical, Robert was friendly & kind, Mei has such a gentle & soothing spirit, I felt pampered all morning. I'm 110% sure my wedding photos will be great. And if I could give them 6/5 stars, I would.

My bridesmaids and I were so happy with the hair and makeup service we received from Mei and Yoong! I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis and I debated even having my makeup done because I felt concerned about not looking like myself in wedding pictures. Mei did my and my mom's hair & makeup for my wedding, and we were both so incredibly happy with her work! Mei is very talented and really takes the time to hear you and understand your vision. Mei is no doubt very talented and I was very excited to work with her for my wedding. I went in for the trial and immediately paid to hold my date (approximately $400). Within less than a month of my trial, I was forced to postpone my wedding and was advised by Robert that I would only be able to be reimbursed if they were able to book someone else for that day.
The three things that bothered me about this was: 1) It was months in advance notice and the day could have easily been re-booked 2

Mei and Robert define power couple!! Their timeliness, communication, and organization skills made wedding planning stress free. Despite last minute changes to my wedding party because of a pandemic they were flexible and kind and able to accommodate my changes. All I can say is, Mei is the absolute best at what she does. I left feeling gorgeous. I am a woman that doesn't like heavy makeup, and she gave me the lightest and freshest look for my wedding day. Mei is simply the BEST!!! She is not only a talented make up artist but overall an amazing human being. We did a trial before my wedding and my stress levels were reduced in half just by knowing that even if everything went wrong my make up and hair would be just like I wanted. Mei did my wedding hair and makeup last Friday and was amazing. She arrived on time, was fun and professional, and was able to give me the exact look I wanted even though I'm sure I didn't explain it particularly well. Mei did a phenomenal work of art balancing my request for a minimalistic look on my pre wedding photoshoot.
Her work was so good, that my friends could tell I had a new edge to my confidence :) also my makeup lasted me 12hours! Without touch up or redo, and with the San Francisco winds blowing in my face.
Mei also did my hair. I have hair upto my shoulders and she gave me a beautiful braided bun look which stayed intact for the rest of the day.

This review is overview. Embarrassingly long overdue, as Mei did my hair and makeup for my San Francisco City Hall Wedding (wait for it) in mid-November of 2015. I know, I know, shameful that it took me this long to give credit where credit was due.
Mei was tremendously helpful during her initial consults, taking into consideration the overall look and style that I desired for my wedding "look" as well as my dress and accessories. I couldn't have been happier with the results. I looked natural, polished, lovely and romantic on my wedding day.

Mei & Robert were so easy to work with and they made my wedding day prep so stress free. Robert was prompt in responding to emails and I was able to pay by credit card via the online invoice system. I choose them because of the high ratings, number of reviews and photos.
The salon was in a big historic building down a long hallway. Mei had all her materials set up and was ready to get to work when I arrived. Mei is the best!!! I feel so fortunate to have her for my big day hair and make-up. I discovered Mei on yelp. She and Robert gave me a very competitive rate and their yelp reviews all seem very candid and from real people. I have a 1920s theme, and short asymmetric hair which is hard to manipulate. But she totally transformed me! Everyone was amazed at the make up and hair skills. My bridesmaid also had a beautiful braid like a flower! She did magic on both of us. We couldn't be happier!
