Jack and Barbara Nicklaus founded the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation in 2004, in an effort to provide families access to world-class pediatric healthcare. As young parents they pledged to each other that if they were ever in a position to help others, they wanted to help children. The Foundation supports Nicklaus Children's Hospital and innovative programs focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of childhood illness.

What a journey it has been! The Foundation started in 2004 as a small charity with a local focus, and has now grown into an international organization impacting the lives of children across the nation and around the globe. We could not be prouder of the advances made and the lives touches because of the support and generosity of so many friends and donors.
In 2015, in honor of the generous support of the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation, Miami Children's flagship hospital, along with its network of outpatient centers, was renamed Nicklaus Children's Hospital. In 2017, Miami Children's Health System was renamed Nicklaus Children's Health System, including Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation.
In partnership with the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and the generous support of the Lawrence J. and Florence A. De George Charitable Trust and the Honda Classic Cares, we have been able to bring world-class pediatric care to children and families of Palm Beach and Martin Counties by establishing a pediatric partnership with Jupiter Medical Center and Nicklaus Children's Hospital.
The Golden Heart Luncheon, co-chaired by Barbara Nicklaus and her daughter, Nan O'Leary will be held at the Country Club at Mirasol. Welcoming nearly 400 guests, it is an afternoon filled with inspiration stories of love, hope, and healing.
In 2020, the event raised nearly $550,000 and we have had the privilege to welcome past guests such as Children's Miracle Network Co-Founder, Marie Osmond; Former First Lady, Laura Bush, Actress Katherine Heigl along with her husband singer, songwriter, Josh Kelley and most recently, the lovely Jane Seymour.
