This is the best wood fired pizza you've ever had. Doug makes his pizza crust from scratch using a carefully maintained 15-year-old sourdough starter. He allows the dough to ferment for 2 days, the traditional way. Each personal-sized pie is topped with his homemade signature sauce, a variety of local Hudson Valley roasted vegetables, grass-fed meat and high quality cheeses.

Our wood-fired pizza oven is a happy marriage between a 1984 military trailer (that used to carry ammunition and artillery supplies) and a custom built masonry oven, welded together by our Hudson Valley team of one masterful metal smith and an impassioned baker. It took about a year to go from sketches to finished product.
From small private parties to corporate events and weddings, we can truck over our mobile wood fired pizza oven anywhere throughout New York including Westchester, the Hudson Valley and NYC. We don't require any electric hook-ups and take our environmental impact seriously- our pizza oven is sustainably heated with local hardwood and our pick-up truck runs on used veggie oil!
Our ovens are based on the innovative design by Dave Sclarow of Pizza Moto. We train every customer on how to use them as well as offer guidance and instructions for free with your purchase!. Throwing a tropical-vibes-meets-fall-foliage wedding in the Hudson Valley was no easy feat in 2021, when most caterers were fully booked. We had almost resorted to self-catering takeout trays when we found Itsa Pizza.
And what a perfect choice it was! We loved the special Colombiana pie Doug created for us to celebrate my heritage (not to mention all the other pies!). I couldn't imagine a more fitting food choice for us, as my husband is a sourdough baker.
Doug even allowed our foodie friend to make his own pie, which we tried and was great!
At one point, our niece asked if there would be dessert

Doug was an absolutely amazing person to work with throughout our entire planning process. Super easy to work with, and the food was ridiculously good. The pizza was an absolute hit and this was with an event full of NY/NJ pizza snobs. My new husband is one of them 😅 they were cooked perfectly, the oven itself was so cool, and they were cranking out pizzas like crazy.
Also, the ice cream they provided was absolutely fantastic. They had pistachio and white chocolate mint, yum!

We booked Itsa Pizza Truck for our Rehearsal Dinner at Handsome Hollow in Long Eddy, NY and Doug and his crew were awesome! They arrived right on time and got to to cookin'. They whipped us up a few different kinds of pizzas that I requested in advance and all of our guests loved them! He also paired all of the pies with a salad that everyone kept raving about! I think it had some kind of lemon tahini dressing on it that was phenomenal. Everyone had plenty to eat and enjoyed the dinner. I highly recommend Itsa Pizza Truck for your catering needs. Best pizza ever, seriously. Love the sourdough crust. We first had pizza from Itsa Pizza Truck at our friends wedding in the Catskills. Everybody at the wedding went crazy for the pizza. Such fresh ingredients and you can tell they really care about what they do. Doug and his crew were awesome. Such amazing people. So glad to find out that they were at the Kingston Smorgasburg this summer. Highly recommended if you want to have an amazing food experience at your wedding! I just wish that they had their own storefront because I have to go to BK to get something close to this good.
