Cozy spot with plenty of seating options. I heard that their happy hour deals were very good, unfortunately I missed the happy hour period. I tried the French wine tasting option, the charcuterie board with 3 options, Gambas al aljillo, patatas bravas, and the beef kushiyaki. The charcuterie board came with olives, dill pickles, grapes, and walnuts with the choice of 3 add-ins. The mortadella, manchego cheese, and prosciutto di Parma were great choices! All tasted very fresh! I was not a fan of the beef kushiyaki as both the meat and the soba noodles drenched in a soy sauce tasting glaze that was

Antipasto plates are reasonable, but found the staff too young and inexperienced... It took over a 1/2 hr to get small charcuterie board with very few patrons in house. I had to remind them we placed an order, and there it was! The bar drinks where a little short for NYC prices. The place is cute and food is fresh. It is worth a visit.

Came in for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. Nice selection of tapas, ordered calamari, roasted Brussels sprouts, some dipping pita with choice of sauces. Be careful spicy yogurt was def spicy. Enjoyed and will be back for a dinner. The place was modern, new and service was attentive with a smile. Check it out...

I dislike writing reviews like this but I'm going to share our unfortunate experience at this restaurant. Not sure what happened as we have had a decent experience in the past. Uhhm.....where to start. We ordered Caesar salad and got limp spinach with pignolli nuts and tomatoes. The paella was awful - charred rice in a frying pan with some seafood (seriously can't make this up). The food was soooi slow coming out of the kitchen that when it finally arrived we ate the unfortunate mess that was served. Don't know what happened to Meritage last night-

I had a Ceasar Salad there last night and now I know why they killed Ceasar.
It was dry, room temperature and bland.
Service is friendly but typically poor.
That said I continue to give this place a second chance for some reason. It's has so much potential
C'mon folks. Up your game. We want you to win

Meritage is one of our favorite restaurants in Glen Cove. The charcuterie boards are top notch, the new duck prosciutto is heavenly! Our server Damian was excellent and took amazing care of us. He was attentive, accommodating, and most importantly friendly. All of his suggestions were home-runs, it’s like he knew us! We’ll definitely make sure to ask for him again next time!

10/10.
My fiancé and I stumbled upon this Glen Gem while looking for a wine shoppe post workout. All sweaty with gym attire still on, the welcoming hostess vibes made it easy to stay.
Our tastings included Chardonnay, Bordeaux, Cabernet and Primitivo. We paired our tastings with the Brussel sprout salad, filet special & tzaki spread.
Our waitress Caroline was extremely friendly & attentive.
The food was insanely delicious!!!
Outdoor seating was pleasant, a little loud for our liking but the wine and food definitely made up for it.
From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left

Great food and service. We ate in person once and did take out for months. Our go to was the vegetable paella which was plentiful and delicious. The meatballs and grilled sandwich were good as well. Happy they were open during COVID. Nice to have a really good meal. As we dined once, we indulged in wine that visit and we had Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and Pinot Noir, all three were very good. The servers and hosts are always super friendly. Definitely recommend.

This is the 2nd time we've been here and once again we had the best time! Originally it was a reservation for 2, but when I called to see if they can accommodate 4 ppl instead last minute they were able to do so no problem.
The drinks and food were amazing just as we remembered, and have to give a shout-out to our waiter Damian who were super kind and friendly!!
He was always checking in on us to make sure our drinks were refilled and made sure our food and desserts were done right. We have decided this will be one of our favorite restaurants from now on to dine in!

My fiancé and I just had our Valentine's Day dinner here and we were raving about it the whole time we were there and on the way home.
We've been wanting to do a wine tasting and they had 3 options to choose from. I tried the "Francais Classique" that had a Chardonnay, a cotes du Rhone, and a Bordeaux and my fiancé got the "Full Bodied Red" flight that had a red blend, a barbera, and a Cabernet. All of the wines were delicious! I don't even enjoy Chardonnay but it was good. With our flights we got the charcuterie and cheese board where you pick 3 options.

Chilean sea bass was scrumptious, perfectly cooked. Dessert of bread pudding was perfect blend of crunchy and creamiest ice cream top. We had a big party during covid and asked them space tables for us. Grilled octopus was also yummy. Oysters were so good altho I think one had an odd flavor. Not feeling sick, so hopefully it wasn't anything.

I was looking around online for a special place to eat last week and I had bookmarked Meritage Wine Bar. We finally had the chance to dine here and it did not disappoint although it was a bit of a drive.
We came here relatively early so it wasn't crowded, but I made a reservation for 6 people, just in case. When we arrived, we were greeted by a gentleman sitting in the front of the restaurant, whom I assume is the owner because he was on his computer. He let us pick where we wanted to sit which was very nice.
Our waiter, Tyler, was very attentive and helpful. We also had our waters constantly

Went to this neighborhood gem for happy hour. This is definitely the best happy hour around and the hours are Monday through Friday, 4:30 to 6:30 PM. They offer draught beers for $4, house red and white wine for $5, select whites and reds and all well drinks for $7. I had the house red, a Cabernet Franc Blend and it was delicious. My husband and son ordered the Captain Lawrence Winter IPA and said it was fantastic as well.
Meritage offers four small plates for $5 each at their happy hour. We ordered one of each: Arancini, Calamari, Meatballs and Bocadillo. We also ordered the trio of spreads,
