Services
Karate is a method of self-defense designed to improve the practitioner's fitness, coordination, self-control, and discipline. Karate is a great way to reduce stress and become more physically active. The women who train at our school find themselves stronger, healthier, and more capable to defend themselves.
All of our instructors are students of Mr. Durkin who have received their black belt through our school. They understand what it is like to start out in the martial arts as a new student and strive to take care of the needs of all their students. Mr. Durkin has traveled to Asia many times to further his knowledge of Uechi style karate, including a Government sponsored trip to the People's Republic of China.
Training at our school is based on three principles of training known as the Student Creeds. The Student Creeds are goals that all students strive to attain and live by. Remembering that the martial arts begin and end with respect, I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health.

If yes, we are currently offering online classes for kids, teens, and adults. Our online program is perfect for anyone who is interested in improving their focus & discipline, getting into shape, and relieving stress.
TRAINING OF THE BODY to include flexibility, coordination, balance, strength, speed and stamina. TRAINING OF THE MIND to include concentration, awareness, emotional discipline and confidence. TRAINING IN SELF-DEFENSE to include timing, distancing, accuracy, techniques of blocking and counterattacking, and psychological principles of fighting.

I have to say this is one of the best karate schools around. I can not say enough about the staff, they are awesome! From Bridget in the office who is very sweet and welcoming and will help you with all your needs to the instructors who will do everything and anything to make your child feel comfortable. They don't treat you like your just a student, you are family to them! My son who was 7 when he started, had severe separation anxiety. He would not leave my side and struggled in school because of it. In less then a few months of taking karate here he showed great improvement. I couldn't have

Going to this dojo with my mom has been a transforming experience for the better. I have not only seen mental, physical, and spiritual growth in myself but in those around me as well. This place has made me a better person, and the staff and students there have accepted me as I was through every step of the way. I look forward to my next class!
