Food looked good but what place only takes cash…. Wasn’t able to get my food the ATM in store wasn’t working and charges a fee. To survive in today’s world accepting cards is the standard. The 1 star isn’t because of the food or staff both seemed great it’s the fact I couldn’t get the food. The only signage I saw for cash only was at the register after I placed my order…

Come on, it's Chester bagel. They're famous in the area for good reason; great bagels done right, a full menu of breakfast, sandwiches, salads, soups, you name it. They're cash only and crazy busy in the mornings, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better spot for your morning fix. Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese on one of their perfect egg bagels if you're looking for a recommendation.

The food looked good, but I wasn't able to get any. Don't make the mistake of ordering online. You still have to wait in line with everyone else so the convenience is for them and not you. Then it seemed like they had never received an online order in their life. They couldn't find mine and then said the machine was broken, not sure what that meant. At the end, gave up and walked out without food.

Such a nice place to get a bagel! I got the lox bagel from here and it was hugeeee. Service was super quick and I was even able to use their restroom. A very extensive menu and covid precautions were in place! A very lovely experience and I would definitely come back here for more breakfast goodies.

This is a no frills bagel and deli shop in a strip mall in Chester. No frills meaning everything you need to see is out and you just have to read what you want and order. My husband has eaten here before and I hadn't. Each sandwich has some celebrity or funky name so it was amusing reading through the menu. He had some monstrous chicken sandwich and I had a hot pastrami sandwich called Barbara Streisand. Lol. Their regular bagels are really the best in the immediate area and as an added bonus, they now have gluten free bagels!! As someone who has been waiting to have a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel without repercussions, I was thrilled when I found out. While the gluten free are not as large or dense as the regular bagels, I found them to have a sweet, enjoyable flavor. It's important to know that they will obviously not completely mimic a regular bagel but as a substitute, I was very impressed!

One of the best sandwiches I've had! We were visiting family in NJ and stopped in this small town for a bite to eat. Chester's did not disappoint! The bagel sandwiches are so good and they do not skimp on the meats and toppings. Very delicious food and friendly service with small town feel. I wish I lived close to this place!

What can I say about the typical bagel shops in jersey. It's a tradition on the weekends.. Egg bagel, bacon, egg, cheese, salt, pepper, and ketchup wash is down with some OJ and call it breakfast, lol. Not to bad, price was right.. Fighting with myself about the rating it's a 3 but on the high side just can't come down to give it anything more.

Best bagels in Chester (area). Everything a good NJ bagel should be. Crispy exterior, fluffy interior, served warm, lots of flavor options. Have gotten a lox sandwich and it was fresh and yummy! Multiple people behind the counter that move quickly to serve the long line of people there on weekend mornings.
Can't go wrong with an everything, or blueberry. Can't wait to go back to try the french toast bagel or the tie dye looked fun.

The bagels and bagel sandwiches are top-notch! In my opinion, the best bagel shop in the area. The people that work there are very friendly and take time to familiarize themselves with the patrons. There are several tables there in case you need to sit and I've never seen more than half of them full, most people take it to go.
On weekend mornings, especially Saturday (9-11 am) morning it can be very busy. Go in at the crack of dawn to 8 am and you'll beat the lazy squallies.

On this Christmas Eve morning I woke up to disappointment as my mother broke my heart getting bagels from another shop in town which my brother-in-law prefers. Let me explain, he is from Pittsburgh.
