Was a long time tenant 5yr, past carpenter, kept the place nice and did repairs, paid on time, had good relations with owner and KMJ, they worked with me when I had to push back leaving, cut me a deal.
Had to rush move for military, forgot to rescreen a window; they charged $140 for rescreen one window. Materials cost $25 and time would be under an hour. Max $75, not $140. Renters beware.
Idc about the money, but about the principal of overcharging.

They're so unprofessional. No communication at all about people coming on the property. Every time I call about a problem. Nothing gets resolved. They just tell you what you want to hear. I called recently and told the young lady that I don't feel comfortable with random men coming to cut the grass on different times and days and that I would want a set day and time just because I have a newborn and I'm a woman alone with my kids. And she goes," Well, I think you should think about when your lease comes up, maybe it's not the right place for you, since you keep grumbling

If you are great at serving your clients (landlords), then some tenants will think you are unreasonable, and will hand out one-star Yelp reviews. KMJ managed an apartment for us, and the service was beyond excellent. They took care of problems quickly, and had high-quality, reasonably priced repair people and cleaners lined up when needed. I loved the prompt and thorough communication.

Took three months for them to acknowledge my roommates and I were trying to vacate insisting we didn’t send in notice though we had half a dozen emails proving so, after we thought we were situated and the end of the month approached a new realtor would email or text us saying that they were unaware we would put in another notice and the cycle would start over. Received 0 dollars of our security back despite no damage and condition was same as move in, plus were charged roughly $350 for bulk pick up that I had already taken care of despite it mostly being the neighbor’s junk. We rented a unit for two years in Mililani mauka that KMJ managed. A year into it, my wife and I started looking to buy our own condo or townhome. KMJ worked with the owner to negotiate a month to month lease since we didn’t know when we would buy. My experience with kmj differs markedly from most of the reviewers here. Rented an apartment for 6 months in Mililani Mauka, 1 of very few 6 month rentals. While the unit itself was in dire need of a refresh, they meticulously documented everything with pictures for the initial inspection. They made a few necessary improvements (I think those were at the owner's direction so I should probably thank them), including a new GE oven which I loved! Move out went pretty smooth, and they had receipt for the only thing they charged me for.

Finally have a moment to write a proper review. There is nothing special about living in more than 40 states, but i have. I have always received a full refund of my security deposit as every place was left in an equal or better condition as move-in. I say this because i need for you to grasp the severity of what i am about to say. Honestly this has been the worst realty company i have dealt with. It took almost a month to receive what was "graciously" left of my security deposit after constantly calling because they lack the fundamental concept of communication. They looked for everything to ding. They claimed I had 2 blown bulbs and charged me $90 for it. Claim they sent my security deposit out 2 weeks ago. Im here still waiting on it. When asked they saud they'll cancel 1st one and send a new one. They claimed we were breaking lease i insisted ive been there over a year and was on month to month. Never again ill rent from them. If I ever rent again and property management switch to them I'm leaving same day.

I lived in a property in Nu'uanu for 6 months. Alohi Bumanglag, our property manager, was phenomenal. The only issue we ever had at the property was with the water heater. Alohi was quick and responsive about the issue, even though it was on a Sunday. She was great at communicating with us, and always was flexible with our schedules. Highly recommend!

This place is sooo stupid... I got denied a place because I failed a background check over 1 DUI over 5 years ago it's not like it was a robbery or a theft!! It was one DUI that should have nothing to do with renting a place. Such a stupid place!! Don't do any sort of business with them!!! Over a DUI? This is absolutely absurd. And I even told them to tell the owner I'd pay for almost double the price they were asking for!!! They are a bunch of swindling crooks!!

Having the baddest time getting a reply. First contact was made, than all of a sudden, fell off the planet. Wish owners would check on their own agents on follow ups for potential renters. If this is the way this agent helps his clients, OMG. I understand that IF this agent is super busy, he would let someone know he is busy by just saying in more than just one email, let me get back to you. When they say that and don't follow up, that's rude and bad for property owners, and potential renters.

I called 4 days after putting in an application. The lady at the front said call again. I call 2 days later, they say it can take 2 weeks. I call when it has been 2 weeks. Front desk again says they don't know the status so I say "does it often take more than 2 weeks" so she transfer me. New woman on the phone asks for my name and comes back and says they went with a better qualified applicant already (but the ad is still up -2904 varsity cir) I tell her that I've been waiting 2 weeks "well this is the first time i got your message but we approved a better qualified applicant

Absolutely terrible place to be dealing or renting from. My lease at my old place is ending soon and i see this one bedroom posted on zillow. I contact the agency and they told me they aren't showing the unit yet. I went ahead and gave the gal my name and number and emailed the agency about my interest anyway so they can contact me whenever it's available. One week past and no one had contacted me. I called again and they told me they still aren't showing it yet. I left the operator my name and number again and she assured me I'll get a call if unit is showing

We've been renting the house for 4 1/2 years and did not have any problems, Karen is wonderful until on our move out inspection, the first thing Michelle (inspector) says is you are not leaving that trash out there. She could have said it more tactfully! We said because it is a ill pick up and so where can we dump it. Luckily I called the association manager and I was told to just bring it to the curb. She even asked about the green trash, I said it should not be picked up until next Friday. She is also saying they need to re chalked the bath tubs, isn't a wear and tear thing? , I asked

I sent in an application and paid the $40 application fee (one for me and one for my co-signer). They said they would call me back either Friday or Monday and I never received a call. I called Monday a little bit before they closed to see what the status was. The woman who answered did not have the proper information so she said she would get the person dealing with that rental to call me back the next day. The next day they do not call me until they are almost closed, telling me that they gave the rental to a more qualified application. They informed me that I could pick up my application fee
