Metro Jiu-Jitsu is a university endorsed martial arts school located in Southgate, Michigan that offers classes for students of all ages and levels. Our 7,000 square foot facility is equipped with a snack bar, enhancing our students' overall training experience. I signed up my 11 year old daughter, 10 year old son and my 8 year old son and they love it. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the most effective martial art. It's fundamentals and techniques are based on maximizing leverage. I wish all kids had access to a program like this! My son has been going to Metro since July 2021 and it was the best decision I made for him. It has truly helped him gain confidence, self-control, discipline, life lessons, and most importantly a sense of community.
The coaches and staff are ALL genuine and amazing at what they do! They want your child to succeed in all aspects, but also want them to have fun. They help reiterate that no one wins all the time and it’s important to lose with grace.

We recently joined the Metro Jiu-Jitsu family and it’s already been an amazing experience. Our 6 and 10 year old are so excited to train here. They look forward to going to class. Eric was amazing helped us get settled in and made it such an easy experience. We look forward to growing with the Metro Family and their amazing coaches. I refer to them as family because that’s how they make you feel joining their team.

My 10 year old has been training here for 4 months, the coaches are amazing!!!! My sons confidence in himself has grown so much and he loves going and can't wait for the classes each week. It's so wonderful watching him each week and how he learns and applies himself. We absolutely love this gym, so much that my husband and I are thinking about signing up ourselves, as well as our daughter as soon as she is of age. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to become a stronger person who wants to build confidence and protect their self and others in a safe way. Or to though who want to compete

My kids enjoy it so much! Great coaches and they treat you as a family. It’s expensive for me but they work with you and that is very rare. It not only teaches kids discipline but it teaches them they can do anything they put there minds to, which I try to also instill in my boys. I would recommend this place to anyone makes us feel at home. My kids are in the yellow and they had so much fun also.

These guys really care about their clientele and they have very friendly and positive staff. All of the coaches are warm good natured people without egos and they want you to succeed. The business is run a good family oriented man named coach Mohamed and he’s as genuine as they come. There is a reason this business has a perfect score and it’s because they want you to be the best version of yourself. If you’re in the down river area, consider stopping in and seeing what they have to offer.

Excellent coaches, great environment to learn Jiu Jitsu. Summer program in also a great experience for kids. I would highly recommended to any parent looking for a quality martial arts program for their child to check out Metro. You won’t be disappointed. Finally, if you are looking for a new challenge for yourself, something different to improve mind and body, give it a try. It is unlike anything you have ever done before.

We started out with our three kids and they loved it! It was so fun to watch the kids interact with the coaches. Then my wife joined shortly after, she really loved it! They all began competing in tournaments and it was hard to watch and not want to do it also, so I finally signed up. It has become a family adventure. The coaches are absolutely amazing with all of the kids. They expect a lot from them and really help them along the way. They really push for everyone to work hard and be a better person both on and off the mats. The adult classes are tough, but very rewarding. I really cannot say

Amazing place! You feel like family there. From the time the class starts to the very last minute the coaches are fully engaged. There’s no scrambling to plan or thinking of what to do…they are ready every single time. I’ve been bringing my kids and their cousins here for Several months and you can expect 100% if not more from this place. Amazing people!!!! So glad I decided to come to Metro Juijitsu.

Jaxon has been attending Metro JiuJitsu for 2 years!!! Before Metro he had only played rec soccer..he never practiced JiuJitsu, I think after his first week…he was in LOVE with this sport!! The coaches tailor their style to the skill of the student, Jaxon really likes that he is able to continue to progress even though new students are walking in everyday. Jaxon’s goal…to be a black belt one day..just like Coach David and Coach Mohammad…😳🙄…we have a long road ahead..looks like it’s JiuJitsu for life 🤙😊

Metro Jiu-Jitsu is AMAZING! I have nothing but great things to say about our whole experience. My daughter started their summer camp in 2020 and LOVED the whole experience so much that we put her into their virtual learning program they offered during the hectic school year we endured last year.
