Gatewood Superior Inspections is owned and operated by Shannon Gatewood. He is married to Rachelle, and they have two children, Lauren and Kristen. Shannon is retired from the United States Air Force and has more than 20 years of construction and quality assurance experience.
Active in the community, Shannon & Rachelle have been instrumental with the Fragile X Alliance of Texas (FXAT), a non-profit organization that provides support, education, and sometimes a shoulder to cry on for families of those affected by Fragile X Syndrome and Fragile X-related Disorders.

There is no standard fee. Every company charges differently. What I CAN tell you is that we are not the cheapest home inspection company you will find, but we are confident that we provide the absolute best value of anyone. The inspectors were great. They were very professional they took the time to answer any questions and concerns i had about the about the property. The inspection itself was very thorough. They went over all finding on site as well as emailed the report the same day. Even found a few things that would have been easily over looked. Mr. Gatewood and his associate were very thorough and professional in their work at our new housing build. He identified several important issues and explained the technicalities in a way that was easy to understand. Similarly, his inspection report was very easy to digest with pictures and wording tailored for individuals outside of the construction industry. He was able to come out on short notice and provided his completed report the same day. I look forward to his help with a final inspection in a few months. I highly recommend GSI!

My husband and I are both legally blind. We really need an extra pair of trustworthy eyes to catch every little thing. Shannon was friendly and he caught everything, yet was upbeat and positve toward the company we bought our home from. I left feeling confident in both our home and so glad we were investing in a 3rd party inspection. We will be asking Shannon to come in for the final inspection as well!

Shannon is amazing. I have two special needs children and advised him that I really needed someone to thoroughly inspect the home I was buying for risks and potential of dangers to special needs children... he advised about his family status and we had a lot in common and he was very aware of what potential risks could be present for my children and reflected several items that could be hazardous and His care for my family was clearly present in my inspection as he pointed out things I missed in my first couple of visits
