Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas and is a byproduct of decaying uranium in the soil. Uranium in the soil and rock decay releasing radon gas in the form of radioactive particles, in turn these radioactive particles attach to dust in the home where they can be inhaled. Radon gas is colorless, odorless and tasteless and can only be detected through proper testing.

My wife and I are in the process of buying a house in Ypsilanti and we wanted to get it inspected before closing as it was built in the late 70’s so you never know what could be wrong with it. I couldn’t recommend Andy Needing enough. He was able to schedule an appointment within a week of calling him. Andy was extremely thorough. We were there during the entire inspection and he would point out things along the way that he thought we should know about. Every square inch of the 4,000 square foot was covered. We received the report the next day and it was extremely detailed yet easy to understand

Andy is the real deal. I've purchased a lot of properties over the years and never had a home inspection that comes close to the one I got from him..Full dialosure Andy is a friend of mine, but nonever the less I was blown away. We called Neering Inspections to help us uncover the source of water in our basement. Andy, was very flexible with our schedule and arrived promptly and ready to investigate. Andy did a wonderful job with our home inspection. He is a pleasure to work with and was incredibly thorough going through everything from the roof, attic, plumbing, electrical, drainage and so much more. He provided us with a complete report including pictures, recommendations and advice for fixes/improvements when he was done with the inspection.
