Karla Bakery
Years have been spent perfecting this exotic Cuban treasure to be all our own. We know you'll swoon over it's exotic sweet and impossible to forget taste and delicate, flaky layers. Sounds a lot like love to us. This exotically sweet, dark obsession is uniquely crafted to be shared between friends - bringing to the table our love of 'rich' experiences with this cuban coffee in Miami.

Our delightfully crunchy bites are an authentic Cuban treasure. Filled with tender, savory ham and so beloved, that they've received their own special day in Miami. Ribbons of savory roasted pork layered atop tender ham and soft Swiss cheese. Tangy pickles and mustard marry with the creamiest mayo and pressed between our freshly baked Cuban house-bread.

This was a horrific experience from the moment I received my order. I was sent the wrong item as you can see in the photo. I was appalled at the treatment I received when I called to rectify the issue. I went without diner that night becausre I don't eat steak so I will never order from there again.

Paid over $5.00 for three guava pastries when I brought them back home my mother who never complains about food said that these guava pastries were uneatable! And tossed it back like a hockey puck. When I tried one, it was the oldest pastellito I ever had. About a week old my guess.
Should have returned them and demand my money back.
On top of that it was baffling how long I wait every time.

Never again! I always come to this location because it's close to work and always request the same a toast with ham cheese and egg, last time I came I ordered like that and the guy who took my order did it, so today I ask for the same and they refused to put butter because it's either butter or a omelette sandwich, WTH?! Then I asked for a medium cafe con leche and the computer said small, so she tells me that in Spanish small for them is the medium. Last time for sure, I rather drive further to get what I want.

NOT FRESH!! NO SON FRESCO LOS PASTELITOS!
Went this morning at 7:30 AM to buy pastelitos for breakfast, bought a huge assortment out of the display case. They were not fresh!!!
My whole family agreed they were not fresh, and stale. What a waste of money!! We threw them out. Even the Cuban bread felt like it was day old. Hadn’t been in a few years, and we won’t be back.

Came in today and tried to make an order for Wednesday and Lisnay had a horrible attitude. Explained everything like if we were begging food. It's my first time ordering platters and it was not fair how she treated me and my mother.
Luckily Giamnina came through and took our orders and she was nice enough and patient.
Management, make sure you speak to your associates when giving the proper customer service. I come here to buy not to be treated with attitude.

My most recent visit to Miami has been something akin to a Croquette tour... Karla's have been the weakest by far.
Mediocre coffee. Average pastries.
Go somewhere else.

Horrible and over priced. I've never had worse food at a bakery. Empanadas were undercooked. Pastelitos tasted and felt old. Just nasty all around. Will not be returning.

Became a for profit bakery with the new owners. Increase the price of everything and reduced the amount of food given. Sandwiches used to last me the whole day because of how big they were now the sandwich is like a small snack and it’s $3 more expensive. Very sad to see.

The tres leches tastes like a bottle of rum was poured into it, pastelitos need a little more crisp to them as well.

They have excellent pastelitos. We ordered the guava and cheese and cheese pastelitos. Both were mouthwatering yummy. They also have a lot of selections. Saw a couple of people getting the Cuban sandwich so it must be good. This is a place where the locals go. Their Cafe con leche is also on point. Very milky and just enough sweetness.

This place is incredible! Super friendly, clean, amazing pastries for a very good price. I found this place because of a Cuban co-worker, with the same name as this bakery (Karla) told me about Pastelitos de guayaba. I love the Cubans, their work ethic & uplifting attitude! I highly recommend this bakery to anyone.

Biggest perk is that it is open when you get the late night cravings. We had several different kinds of desserts and, of course, Collada and they tasted good. Waiters were nice too. Would recommend!

Have been here many times, particularly late night, but never reviewed it. The croqueta preparada, which I've had on prior occasions, is quite large and good, but I've definitely had better. Tonight, after chillin at Art Basel with some German friends, I was hungry on my way back to Country Walk. Unfortunately, there was no guava and cheese left at 3 A.M., but I still had 2 delicious, flaky, and filling pastelitos de coco and one guava. The lady there was very nice, by the way.Grand total: $3.21. Just found out they have a 24/7 location on 137 and coral way, so definitely gonna have

We were shocked at how bad the food was (some of the desserts are another story). The only reason this didn't get one star is that some of those are good.

Our party consisted of three generations of Cubans--we may have tasted some Cuban food in the past. At first we were all silent, a rarity in our culture. When someone finally talked, we all had the same thought. That the food was so shockingly bad we assumed it had to be just ours or just our tastes. But no...

Papas rellenas: The outside was perfectly crispy, thin, and light. That's where the awesomeness ended. The meat was

I found Karla's bakery later in the evening when most bakeries had already closed. I was glad to find one open that sold señoritas, so I could buy them to take on my flight.

Karla's bakery is a nice size with tables to sit and eat. They had easy menu options with pictures and prices. Right at the time I was ordering, a new batch came out. Four señoritas were just under $5.

I don't know if I got a bad batch, but I've had my fair share of señoritas and none tasted like Karla's. It had a nutmeg flavor that isn't usually there. Also, the pastry crust was darker

Good 1st time experience. I had an office pot luck luncheon so I searched online for a reasonable bakery. This was out of my way but I read the Yelp reviews and this place was decent. I was helped by one of Cuban ladies behind the counter. She had difficulty understanding English but she took the time to point which ones were there most popular items.

I tried their chicken, beef, ham & sausage empanadas cuban style (they also offer bake Argentinian ones), ham croquetas and beef papas rellenas. I liked all of the them except for ham & sausage emapandas. It was little dry for me and not

Open 24/7!! However, since we came late (around midnight on a Sunday), there definitely seemed to be less of an assortment of pastels to choose from. Not everyone here speaks English, but there is at least one person who can help you if you can't speak Spanish. I ended up trying:

-Pastel Guayava ($0.95), Tequeto Pequeto Guayaba Y Queso ($1.27), Pastel Guayaba Y Queso ($0.95) [http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=9y53ivHtDbLlyuTtyq7jaw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg]: The tequeto was definitely the least favorite since the piece of queso in here was giant and salty- skip! Just like most Banana Republics government systems, Karla Bakery's sales operations don't make any sense. But just like most Banana Republics, the food is awesome. The nonsense may not be entirely their fault, but they probably are the only Cuban bakery with a "system". Yeah, in Miami, having a system, a method, only causes confusion. In Karla Bakery's case, nobody gets it, because that is not what people are used to, and because that is not the way things work 'round here.

Let me preface it this way. If you go to a Cuban bakery, you must know how to order. These
