Bocca Osteria
Founded in 2011, Bocca Osteria is a small, family-owned Italian restaurant located in scenic Cooperstown, NY. For years, our family served New York-style pizza, generally recognized for its thin, crispy crust, with two other local pizzerias. However, I always wanted to try my hand at Neapolitan-style pizza due to my parent's heritage.

Both from Naples, Italy, my mother's cooking was something that I wanted others to experience first-hand. In fact, my mother's family in Italy still has its own trattoria to this day. They inherited the trattoria from my grandfather, who opened it following World War II. With help from my uncle living in Italy, Fiorentino Falso, we purchased a six-ton custom-built oven from Naples, Italy, and had it shipped over to the United States.

Very lovely meal here back in late December. The food was unpretentious and satisfying, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was clearly swamped but took great care of us. If I get back to Cooperstown this will be one of my first choices.

Food was outstanding! I recommend the mushroom ravioli! That is the best ravioli I have ever had at an Italian restaurant. Very creamy and flavorful sauce. Kids had the cheese pizzas and their crust was soft and fresh. We are just visiting this cute little town. Wish we had something like this back home.

Always the best. Every item prepared exactly the same and each is top shelf. It is our go to place for a lunch or dinner.

Wonderful food, good service and easy in and out. Love the pizza, they have a really great pizza oven. Pasta is the best, and they offer a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options.

What a nice surprise to find a excellent Italian restaurant so far away from Italy. The rigatoni was perfect cooked and presented to perfection. Cocktails were well conceived and made. I would recommend this special restaurant when your in the Cooperstown area

I came here last year around this time and I was very happy with the service and the food. I came to give this place another try expecting the same as the last time. I ordered the chicken riggies this time and I was disgusted at what I was eating and looking at. The chicken was like rubber and was not pleasing to the eye in the dish the way it was cut up. The pasta and the sauce was good but I had to pick out the chicken. The place is very nice on the inside. The prices are reasonable. I would not be returning due to my most recent experience.

This was such a wonderful restaurant experience! We went after visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and the service was excellent! The Calamari Fritti was hearty and I had the Lobster Ravioli in mushroom sauce, which was creamy and delicious!

We got to Cooperstown at 8:45, late for this town. Every restaurant we looked at had closed already. Bocca was closing at 9:15, but they read us the menu over the phone, took our order and said they'd be there for us. We went with an eggplant Parm panini and a small pizza. For dessert we had flourless chocolate cake and a Limoncello cake. Everything was delicious and staff was great.

Went here on a Friday night for the first time, we were able to get seated quickly in the outside tent. Service was super fast and the food was delicious. Highly recommend for a nice dinner while visiting Cooperstown that's a change of pace from the bar/pub food that seems to dominate the area.

Without a reservation, on the day of the National Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony we were seated in about 10 minutes. We did come several hours after the ceremony and it was very busy both at the bar & in the dining room.
The service was excellent and the entrees and dessert were even better! We will certainly return on our next visit to Cooperstown.
We had the FETTUCCINE AI FUNGHI & GNOCCHI FATTI IN CASA with a Cesar Salad...thankful we ordered only one salad...it was more than enough for the two of us and tiramisu for dessert.

The pizzas and salads here are delicious! We were especially pleased with the service- there was a big group that can in before us, but our server made sure we were attended to and received our orders shortly after the large party. I really enjoyed the pizza with figs and probably could've eaten most of it by myself! There were many more items in the menu that I would love to come back and try when I am in the area. The location is also very convenient to Cooperstown Dreams Park and the main village, and there was a lot of outdoor seating when we were there. I will definitely come back here

Let me just say how absolutely amazing everything was. Everything so fresh, so flavorful, something so exciting to feel when you try someplace new! In order of the pictures, we got their Bruschetta and a cup of bacon corn chowder to share as an appetizer. The bruschetta was very very delicious, so fresh as well with the tomatoes and basil. The soup was very very delicious, even on a hot day it was very tasty and flavorful with the bacon and many veggies. For dinner I got Bucatini All'Amatriciana and my mom got a fig and arugula salad. The Bucatini was so very tasty and hearty with flavors

This place is amazing! We had just left the Hall of Fame and wanted to get away from all the hub bub around that area. Yelp brought us here and I am so glad it did. We had 4 kids and 3 adults and everyone said their dish was the best they ever had (and we're from Chicago, land of great food). Everything is made in house and it shows. And added bonus, the waitstaff is incredibly friendly. Telling everyone I know that comes this way to go here!!!!

All around great meal with a wonderful server (Erin). The portions were more than gracious, taste was spot on. My chicken parm was well seasoned without the typical abundance of breading. The pasta was tender and still firm with a great sauce. We finished our meal with a Nutella and banana desert pizza drizzled with chocolate sauce. Between the two of us, we left with a full meal of left overs (but no desert, couldn’t have left any of that behind) for lunches. Be sure to ask to sit in Erin’s section, she has great recommendations and a genuine conversation will follow too.

Super cute place with outdoor seating. There are super cute bubble pods set up outside for outdoor dining.
I love the bocca salad. It's my go to and it's amazing.
The pizzas are also super tasty.
However if you only have the chance for a single meal here, try to chicken riggies. It's a must try.

Great food, and most everything can be made gluten-free! The outdoor seating options are really nice, and I recommend taking advantage of it. Eating Italian outside by torchlight and under beautiful strings of light adds an extra touch of ambiance!

Tried to go to Ommegang Bingo on a Sunday morning, but they were all full, so we wound up at Bocca, and I am so happy that we did!
On Sundays brunch begins at 11 am, and it's a great deal. Had some yummy avocado toast, and others at the table went with the stuffed french toast. Everything came out nice and quick. Fruit was very fresh.
Server was great and offered good suggestions. Prices were decent, I would deff. come back here for the brunch options. Nice outdoor seating, with tons of room for a small lot.
Would like to come back to try one of their pizzas, they all sounded intriguing and

This place was amazing. I was visiting Cooperstown with my boyfriend. We were looking for a nice place to have dinner. We saw the reviews and photos and thought this is something we should try. We got there and we were seated immediately. We sat outside in a bubble that was there due to covid. The waiter, jack, was great and he promptly greeted us and put our drink order in. When we put our orders in we didn't wait long. We decided to get three pasta dishes and share. All of it tasted so great. We both agreed one of the best meals we had in a long time and we're both a little hard to

What a fun and nice luncheon experience we had here.

Biked our way about the town and came across Bocca, outside the main drag... a gem of a restaurant.

On a windy afternoon we stopped up for a late lunch and sat outside on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Though it was quite windy, we had the option of inside or outside dining and we chose outside. Outside we sat with the option of open air or in a "bubble"!

Our luncheon choices were eggplant panini and arugula fig salad. The salad was awesome, big and tasty. The eggplant was, well, eggplant. Could have been a bit larger with a bit

Delicious Italian food with a great staff, especially our waitress Rachel. She was very nice, extremely personable, informative and professional.
The meal began with a fresh Ceasar Salad that had the right amount of dressing that tasted great.
The Seafood Fra Diavolo was excellent. The seafood was fresh and the sauce had great flavor with the right amount of kick.
The Margherita Pizza was also terrific. The thin crust, wonderfully seasoned sauce and fresh mozzarella made each bite perfect.
This was the third time we have eaten here in the last seven years and each time was a home run! No pun

All over Cooperstown there appear to be differing opinions on which of its two Italian restaurants is better. Taking the advice of the hostess at another restaurant in town I opted to try this one, Bocca Osteria.

The appearance of a restaurant matters. I'm apt to be turned off by tables full of dirty dishes. Here at Bocca I was offered my choice of tables, one in a room that had several tables still uncleared from earlier diners. No thanks.

I chose the other table which still had a view into the dirty space and it was a while before those plates were cleared.

Bocca Osteria is a
