Services
Mel's is the brainchild of Melody and her husband Al Bowers, who operate two Al's Burger Shack locations in Chapel Hill and the Saturamini Food Truck, which is available for events and offers multiple food concepts. Prior to shifting to an event space, Mel's was a beloved lunch spot, serving soulful sandwiches, salads, sides and entrees.
Let us host your next office party, family gathering, birthday or anniversary shindig, rehearsal or wedding dinner. If you're bringing people together to enjoy great food and drink, we've got the perfect spot and can make your event special. Mel's can host up to 50 people indoors and another 40 people outdoors on our patio.
Mel's can cater most any event, from a large party or wedding to a smaller family gathering. We offer Box Lunches (sandwich and one side) as well as Sandwich Platters, Soups, Entrees, Sides and Desserts. If you want to bring Al's Burger Shack to your party, you can order Shack burgers, hot dogs and crinkle-cut fries or Al can set up and grill burgers on site.
