This place was very rude to me when I was trying to return a Christmas gift that I bought for my daughter. The employee told me yes and after a 45 min drive they told me no when I got there. There were no signs in the store stating their policy. Then they said she could have credit if she only picked out something today. Really???? late Jan. picked over stuff???? I told she better go ahead because this store won't be in business much longer!!!!

The store is ok I have found some really cute things before. Unfortunately the staff I dealt with during my last visit was really rude. What's worse is I emailed in what happened at the store and no one ever got back to me. Disappointing , I'll never return. I will say though before that experience I really liked the store and it was perfect for buying a quick cute dress I have a few I love from there.

My whole AMAZING experience began with a phone call to see if they had Holiday dresses. When I came in and asked for help with finding a holiday dress they knew my name! They helped me put together an cute outfit. I picked out a dress from the selection they suggested, and then got the shoes they recommended. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they went above and beyond, even helping me find a cardigan at another store to match my outfit. Couldn't ask for a better shopping experience. I'm most deff coming back!

Y&I used to be my go-to boutique in Dallas. I was a frequent shopper, always recommended it to my friends, and would bring out of town guests there to shop. I'm not sure if there was recently a management change or what, but it seems that the past few times I have gone the customer service has been subpar. I have gone in and not seen an associate for 10-15 minutes while I was shopping. When I do interact with them, the majority are rude and condescending, hardly speak, and are apathetic to guests in the store.

I used to love shopping at Y&i, but am now so furious with their customer service that I will never be back and will no longer recommend this store to any of my friends, as I had been doing so diligently in the past.
I was last minute looking for a dress to wear to a wedding in Colorado and found a dress I liked, but didn't love, at Y&i. After talking to the sales associate about their return policy (14 days - incredibly obnoxious as is), I figured I'd go ahead and purchase it in case I didn't find anything else. Thought I would stop by because I pass by the store all the time (and the window display is cute). While I was browsing their stuff, this blond, long hair lady with a black dress passed by me several time without greeting me. When I was about to leave, because we made an eye contact that she finally said hi with her mono tone. It wasn't a good experience so what's the point of visiting again if I can get those things online? Isn't that customer service so essential esp to a boutique store? 10/04/2017

LOVE, love, love this place! The two brunette salesgirls helped me find some of the greatest items--they were very friendly and attentive. It's extremely hot in Dallas, and the amount of casual summer dresses are awesome! I really love all the graphic tees, as well. The pricing is really inexpensive and the quality is great.
Also, they sell so much Dallas, Texas themed home good!!! So great for gifts!!

I always love the atmosphere of Y&I. It's funky, fresh and always has really cool local finds. Definitely on the pricier end (in comparison to your big box store at the mall) but it's average for a boutique store with their quality of clothes.
I love finding shirts with sassy sayings and dresses that I know will be my "it" dress for the season without being everyone and their mother's it dress.
I love their tasteful gift section and how they represent Dallas.
Always make it a point to pop in to check out what fun, new items they have!

Reasonable prices. Cute clothes. Fun knick-knacks. Obnoxious return policy (14 days).
If I lived in one of the apartment buildings at West Village, I would probably shop here. But it's just too much of a hassle to find parking here to bother buying something that I might end up wanting to return, then having to travel back here and fight the parking fight again just to return it.

Worst customer service I've experienced in a while. I walked in right by an employee and she didn't say a single word to me. She must've been in a bad mood because I noticed her handling the merchandise roughly while merchandising. The other employee had her back to the door hanging things and probably didn't even realize a customer was in the store. I can do without this store and its poor excuse for sales people.

Y&I is a cute little boutique that's located in West Village with an even cuter story behind the name. I've had the privilege of visiting twice, once for a Yelp event and another time on my own. Both times the staff were friendly and accommodating. The store itself is small and carries unique clothing, jewelry, and other novelty items. Even if their clothes aren't your thing, they have lots of trinkets that make for good gifts and they are fairly reasonably priced.
