In clothing, a suit is a set of garments made from the same cloth, usually consisting of at least a jacket and trousers. The variations in design, cut, and cloth, such as two-and three-piece, or single- and double- breasted, determine the social and work suitability of the garment. Originally, as with most clothes, a tailor made the suit from his clients selected cloth; these are now often known as 'bespoke' suits.
Over the past 30 years of operating in San Francisco we have built a family. Being a client of Couture goes much deeper than the purchase of a article of clothing, you become apart of the Couture family. Below are some of our VIP clients whom we haves had the pleasure of serving and fitting over the years.
In October of 2005 the National Basketball Association implemented a Dress code for all players. Shortly after Couture developed a long lasting relationship with the Bay's team. In December of that same year Couture hosted several players at the store for a wardrobe makeover. Ever since then Couture and the Warriors have worked hand in hand for numerous projects together.

This is the most wonderful experience my partner & I have ever had looking for a suit ! Upon walking in, David was attentive & open to hearing all our ideas for a suit (we’re guests for an upcoming wedding). David was extremely welcoming & kind. He graciously allowed my partner to try on as many shirts as he wanted until he found *the one*, & the tailoring was an amazing turnaround time. When you arrive in David's store he makes sure you walk out looking your best. He's a true gentleman and loves his craft. It was a pleasure working with David to find the right styles and fit that best suited me. I cannot wait to wear the garments for my wedding. Excellent! David helped me through dozens of decisions I simply could not have done alone. Everything is so casual now I couldn't trust myself or the bigger stores to pick accents that came together in the end. Really happy I was able to work with David on all the details to get a proper formal look.
He had a lot of things in my small size (34) and so we had a lot of points to start from. The most interesting alterations were to the vest (a couple buttons removed to match slim profile) and to the pants (also slimmed). The result couldn't be better.

The owner assumes once you step in to the store that you are not a buyer. He doesn't really help you out to see the options. The owner doesn't have the right to treat customers poorly because he's been in this business for many years or by assuming someone is a buyer or not.
The owner was argumentative, unfriendly and sarcastic.
He wished us luck in a sarcastic way when we were leaving and we found another suit store with excellent customer service and better choices.

I hadn't bought proper mensware in many years and needed an updated suit for a wedding and other occasions. I've owned expensive suits (all far out of style for today) and shirts and ties from fancy brands, but my closet has trended towards Banana Republic, H&M and the like as the work world has become more casual.
I ran around union square stores from high-brow to low, found a jacket that I thought I liked but otherwise stumbled into David's store off the street (never heard of him before) pretty frustrated with what I found and in definite need of help.

I stopped by on a random Tuesday evening as the store was closing trying to see if I could locate all white. David and his team was super friendly. I was shopping for a suit for my pre-wedding photo shooting but I didn't really know what looked good on me. David was super super helpful on what suits me the best! He gave me a couple of great suggestions with various price range. I liked that he was very patient with me and did not push me to buy anything and gave me enough time to choose. My wife also loved his choices for me very much: from suits, vests, shirts, shoes, to bowtie, hanky. I ended up buying two suits and a full set of items from the shop. Worst experience I've ever had , I drove down from Hillsborough to buy a few suits . My friends who always dress sharp have bought few suits from this David character. I called David at 8:00am I told him how tight my schedule is and 3:30 would be the only time I can come on Friday... 3:15 I walked in I was wearing a flat bill hat and some jeans. My wife was also with me . As soon as he saw me his face cringed. It looked like he was working with fellow that looked pretty fancy. I looked at David and said I'm your 3:30 . The owner David makes shopping experience too fun it can be dangerous to your wallet.
A year ago when I found this clothing store David talked me into buying a dapper double breated jacket and extra pairs of slacks to match.
David called me back a year later saying he got some new clothing lines to show. Curious but planning that I will just get some new slacks, I walked out of the store with sporty Italian sweater and a blue blazer!

The owner acted friendly when we first walked into the store. We picked a cute jacket and asked him what brand it was. This was when he became angry and rude and told us that everything came from his brand. He said if we were looking for designer brands like Prada, just let him know and he would show us the right way. This was annoying because we didn't try to judge his products or compare his brand with designer brands. Besides, things he sells are not 'his brand'; he is just a retailer.

I was looking for a tailor, I found him there! The quality of the suits is really amazing, and they had the perfect fit, since they have several versions of the same suit, in my size. They'll alter it just a bit, David definitely made sure we go beyond perfection with this suit. He is passionate, and he really knows what's best for you. The finest service for the finest suits.
