Services
We started in this same brick building in 1991 with one exam room and one employee. The building has been expanded twice, in 1994 and in 1998. We now are pleased to have 3 doctors and 16 employees and hope to continue to experience growth and to expand our services and exceed our clients' expectations.
Alan and Christy grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University. There they both earned their Doctorates of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. After graduation, they each worked in private practices in the downriver Detroit area. In 1991, they returned to Dr. Alan's hometown of Coloma and opened Wil-O-Paw Animal Hospital.
Karen has been the Practice Manager at Wil-O-Paw since 2011. She is responsible for making sure you and your pet have a great experience at Wil-O-Paw. Please feel free to email her at kziebart-wilopaw@sbcglobal.net if you have any comments or concerns about our staff or hospital. Karen and her husband, Jeff, are the parents of two daughters, Becky and Michelle.
Whether your pet is a youngster, a senior citizen, or any age in between, wellness examinations provide an excellent opportunity for us to conduct a thorough physical examination and develop a health profile for your pet. This information will help us identify medical problems and any other issues that can affect your pet's health and quality of life.
Despite what many pet owners may believe, dog breath is not just a nuisance, it's a sign of an unhealthy mouth. Bad breath is caused by bacteria. Over time, bacteria lead to plaque and tartar buildup on your pet's teeth. The result is bad breath, reddened gums, and other common signs of dental disease.

They were able to get our pet in the same day this time. Not always the case. Worked with us on the treatment to help keep the cost down.

I highly recommend Wil-O-Paw. The entire staff is helpful and they are very friendly. They’ve had to fit me in for an emergency with one of my pups and I will forever be grateful to them for this. He was super sick and they helped me get him back to himself! They all work as a team and are very kind to yours and your pets needs. Dr. Kendall is simply amazing and I couldn’t ask for a better person to help me with my animals. I appreciate you all so very much! I won’t go anywhere else!

Wil-O-Paw is an excellent veterinary institution. I have been taking my two cats there since I became a pet owner. At first out of necessity, since they are one of the few clinics open at all on Saturdays. Now, out of choice and trust. They were really helpful when one of my cats was a "blocked tom". They did not perform the surgery but we're instrumental in post care. These people love animals and it shows!

They are very caring with the animals and very friendly. The veterinarian comes out and speaks with you about your animal. Which I think is great due to COVID and if course masks are worn. Thank you for caring

Update on the great folks at Wil-o-Paw - they also do grooming. My dog is about as nervous as they come, and if they can handle him, even the most skittish dog can be groomed! Previously, they also saved my dog’s life:
Love the team there, so kind and understanding, and they clearly love their patients! Dr. Alan (Stockdale) really put his skills and knowledge to the test. Despite some complications, he was able to fix my Leo’s dislocated elbow this week, and his patient is getting around better every day. Without that successful surgery, we were faced with the “difficult decision” all
