Our current protocol is still curbside check-in, as our lobby remains closed. We are however allowing 1 client in with their pets for appointments with the doctors. All technician appointments will remain fully curbside for the time being. Upon arrival please park your vehicle and call into the clinic.

Dr. Troy Martens is a 1993 Michigan State University Veterinary Medical School Graduate and he is also an Ann Arbor, Michigan native. He came to South Haven in hopes of buying a Veterinary Practice in 2008 and his dream led him here, where he purchased South Haven Animal Hospital from Dr. Salamun. Our Dr. Martens has a very supportive wife, Christina, and a beautifully spirited daughter.

South Haven Animal Hospital is here for you and your pet from the first days of life to the last. We can offer you all the care you'll need from first routine or sick visit, to vaccinations and annual check-ups. We offer top-of-the-line vaccinations and tests for heartworm/feline AIDS and leukemia/tick borne diseases.
Here at South Haven Animal Hospital, our in-house lab features state-of-the-art equipment for your pet's time sensitive testing. This on-site laboratory feature allows us to better serve you in a very timely manner. It is our goal to test the patient at the time of your visit and get you the results that day.
The South Haven Animal Hospital Team has a special interest in surgical procedures and all members are well practiced in their role to aid in properly completing many different procedures and the necessary protocols to assist the Doctor and patient successfully. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: Dr. Martens will be making himself available for phone consultations, to our existing clients, every night until 10pm.

When I first started going there I had a large breed German shepherd that was a great dog. He loved everyone but most were afraid because of his size . Dr Troy Martens would get right down on the floor with him and showed nothing but compassion. He's been that way toward all my pets large or small and he won me over because of that. If he can't help your pet, he points you in the right direction to someone who can.

We use South Haven Animal Hospital for all of our small animals. Dr. Martens is great with our house and barn cats, and our dogs. My cats always HATE going to the vet, and even though they are mean and try and bite and scratch him, he's extremely calm and gentle with them. The office is always clean, they are always as on time as they can be (unlike people doctors), and the staff is friendly. We have been using them for years. I highly recommend using them if you're looking for a small animal vet.
