The Corley family owns and manages some of the finest vineyard properties in the world and from them we produce wines of singular quality and distinction. Our 80 acre Monticello Vineyards estate in the Napa Valley with vineyards and winery, tasting room, as well as culinary and hospitality facilities has been a destination for fine wine lovers and visitors from around the world since the 1980's.

Now in our third generation, the family and our team members, some of whom have been with us for more than 30 years, welcomes you to our sustainably-farmed and solar-powered wine estate. When our father Jay Corley began searching for the sites he wanted to grow wine, he recognized that the best wines in the country were grown in Napa Valley.
Services
In 1969 our father, a successful L.A. businessman named Jay Corley, visited Napa Valley. He had, by this time, invested in a number of businesses. The opportunity to buy a prune orchard along the Napa River in what would later be designated as the Oak Knoll District, with its delicate climate, felt right to a "Burgundy guy" at the beginning of the wine movement in Northern California.
We are very proud to be a family-owned and managed winery and vineyard company. Jay Corley, our founder, came to Napa Valley in 1969 seeking land to plant and grow an estate vineyard. Today, sons Kevin, Chris, Stephen, and Kent manage the business: Kevin is our Winegrower and President, Chris is our Winemaker, Stephen is our Director of Sales, Marketing, and Hospitality and Kent leads special projects.
Since 1980, the Corley family has been hard at work crafting world-class wines from our vineyards. The majority of the wine we produce is from our home estate. We consider our Monticello Vineyards designated wines to be distinctive representations of the Napa Valley. These wines are styled to be rich and full bodied yet well-balanced and elegant.
Our Chardonnay plantings are on our Estate in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. This vineyard is planted to three different clones of Chardonnay: Dijon Clones #76, #95, and #96. Our Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards are planted to clones #4, #337 and #47 in the Oak Knoll District, Rutherford, Yountville, and St. Helena.
As 100% estate produced wine, each bottle we make speaks to the distinct soil, climate, and topography of our five sustainably farmed properties, two of which are certified organic. Barrel fermented and aged to produce the creamy richness and depth that is the hallmark of our Montreaux style. We have created gift collections that are perfect for sending friends, family and business associates for any occassion.

OUTSTANDING!! The wines were great and the tasting room staff were a blast. The Pinot, Chardonnay and reserve Cab are NOT to be missed. We were lucky enough to meet the owners/brothers Chris and Kevin who are also the wine makers. Passionate people who are carrying on the family tradition in an industry being quickly dominated by large corporations.
We will return every time we visit Napa.
Cheers!!

One of my favorite family owned wineries. Out of the way, quiet, unrushed, a hidden gem. While their wines are all good, their single vineyard cabs are as good or better as those from larger, flashier outfits who charge 2 - 3 times as much (sometimes with 2-3 times the pretentiouness). When you consider the quality and price point, Monticello's single vineyard cabs are probably the best bang for your buck cabs in Napa. All that in a small, family run winery. Good times 🙂

We enjoyed the experience. It was a very slow day for the winery so we were able to take advantage of that with a few “extras”. The attendant was attentive (I can’t remember his name but new to the winery)
As a novice to understanding the process of producing wine, we learned a lot.

I visited Monticello Vineyards in early October. The property is gorgeous and well kept. We did a wine tasting, where we tried 4 of their wines (Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon). All of the wines were delicious, especially the Chardonnay! Our host Linda was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I highly recommend visiting Monticello Vineyards when you’re in Napa.

Wonderful experience and tasting. Linda was the best. She was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. The grounds were beautiful and the entire staff was very pleasant. I really liked the Chardonnay and was surprised at how good the Merlot was. This was the first time I have ever enjoyed a Merlot in my life.
When you go, ask for Linda she really is the BEST in Napa!

Wow - what a beautiful and elegante vineyard. The taste testing and service was awesome. One of the owners came and visited with us. Took us from his fathers humble beginnings in Michigan to falling in love with the love of his life (his mother) and investing in what is now known as ‘Monticello Vineyards”. One of the best wine tasting samples, I have experienced clear analysis and structure to the wine list and the boquete of senses each wine enthuses. The Cabernet Sauvignon - was out of this world. Don’t miss out - Go and see them in the Napa Valley area.

Gorgeous scenery! The tasting happened outside under the trees with beautiful views of the vineyards, Jefferson House, and rose garden. Our host was friendly, warm, and personable with great knowledge of the wines and history of the vineyard. They had great protocols in place with the pandemic, so I was able to relax and feel safe in a moment of normalcy during a time of such change. Will definitely be going back!

We enjoyed our time here. This is a small, unique winery. It’s affordable, and they allow shared tastings. Our wine tender was friendly,
personable and very knowledgeable. She provided a complimentary tour of the recreation of Thomas Jefferson’s home. Great wines, unique history, and friendly staff.
