When La Crema was founded in 1979 as La Crema Vinera, meaning the Best of the Vine, the name was intended as an unabashed boast: These vineyards produced the very best grapes in the region. Today, the name has been shortened to mean, simply, the best, and La Crema's wines represent the best grapes from preeminent cool-climate regions in California and Oregon.
At La Crema Winery, we realize great wine doesn't have to come at the expense of the environment. After meeting the 227 criteria in the program, all of La Crema's Estate Vineyards became 3rd-party certified under the Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance's program. The winery facility itself is also 3rd-party certified under the Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance's program.
Naturally, our winemaking team seeks to express the essence of the terroir in our wines, capturing the unique personality and flavor profile of the vineyards. Craig McAllister infuses our winemaking regime with a highly personal touch that combines the best of traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques with a contemporary California style.
Nestled within the storied Saralee's Vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley in a historic barn dating back to 1900, the new La Crema Estate is the premier destination for wine education and cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We are excited to welcome guests to our wonderful Estate at Saralee's Vineyard.

A favorite stop for years! Our host Ashley is a gem! Her wine descriptions were awesome and occasionally hilarious. We appreciated our time with her and the delicious chards and pintos that LaCrema is known for! Thanks again and see you all soon!

Don’t waste your time or money! Worst experience in nearly 30 years of wine country visits. $30pp for three maybe 1/2 ounce pours of wine that no one explained- you can read the short sentence yourself on the printed mat. You can do better- anywhere!!!

I enjoyed this visit far more than I was anticipating - their wines (pinot and chard) are very drinkable and the winery is relaxed and beautiful - bonus points for the two beautiful labradors acting as ambassadors

Beautiful property. They have a great range of wine, mostly chardonnay and pinots. Usually these places only have good red or whites. They have a great selection of both. They also have a large charcuterie board that 4 adults were able to share comfortably. The others in the party joined their wine club after the visit. All around great stop

Amazing winery and a perfect place to have a picnic during your wine your. There is a lot of outside picnic table space to have lunch near the beautiful vines. There is also an indoor seating area as well. You can bring outside food to the vineyards and they have a limited menu of charcuterie boards.

Great tasting. Buy 2 bottles and get the tasting for free. Loved the charcuterie. The Chardonnay’s are great. The Pinot noir not so much to my taste.

The wine, setting and staff were all outstanding. Flights of white and Pino were served with great commentary on each selection. A great tasting session.

Beautiful converted barn turned into a multi-floor tasting room. Not kid-friendly, but definitely adult-friendly! Lively but not overrun by tourists. Lots of balconies to enjoy your wine, and they have a cheese case if you don't want to deal with bringing your own.

What a fun bunch of staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a good time here with the tasting and the friendly staff. They were cool and pretty generous. We ended up buying 2 bottles of their wines. Take a walk around their house, many seatings in different rooms.
