Took my year old cat in to get fixed over marking issues. No triage questions were asked regarding the animals behavior to learn about what’s going on. Picked up the animal after procedure, got no post-procedure talk about how it went, what to do during healing, no post op meds, not even a cone to help with him picking at himself. Less than two days later the cat was put down due to bladder crystals. The second vet that diagnosed the real issue said it had been caught early but would likely be chronic and cause the cat lots of issues.
Had questions been asked about why the cat had initially

This is a chop shop. Check in/check out process is very mechanical. They do not ask questions or put the effort in to find underlying issues. Vet will screw up a surgery or diagnosis, then make you feel like it was your fault and say things like “we have a difference in opinion”. When told would leave a review about my experience he scoffed and said “they all do” which should tell you all you need to know. Spend your money on a vet that will actually care.

I can’t sing the praises of Mount comfort animal hospital loud enough. The veterinarian and his staff are absolutely amazing! There bedside manner is wonderful. I did not feel like a transaction to them unlike other veterinary clinics that I’ve been to.
They don’t perform unnecessary procedures or services. They explained that they don’t think it’s necessary to run bloodwork every year unless if there is a reason to suspect that something is wrong.
Definitely a very ethically run organization! You can trust your pet (whom most of us as members of our family) with these wonderful and

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
Staff is not knowledgeable and seems to go through the motions. They will happily take your money, guess at a solution for your pets issues and when it’s wrong they will push blame on you, the owner. Would never recommend, this was a learning experience for me and my family.

Too busy if you need immediate care. In the past couple of months we needed to get our cat in. Each time it was going to be two weeks to get it, that’s too long when your pet is not eating. Ended up in Carmel and then Beech Grove for quick care. Cat diagnosed with lymphoma. Got some meds and helped him.
He took a to very bad turn 3 days ago, would not eat, it was time to put him down. Called Mt Comfort Vet on a Friday, was told I couldn’t come in till next Tuesday. Westwood Vet in Greenfield to the rescue. Four to five more days was out of the question when the animal is suffering.
It’s

I have been going to Mt.Comfort Animal Hospital for the last 7 or 8 yrs the staff are always kind and quick to fit me in! Dr.Barnes listens to my concerns, questions and is very good with my fur babies! My dog now is a rescue from a puppy mill she has quite a few issues with her GI and it's been a hard time getting her to a plave where she is comfortable and happy. He made that possible at a affordable price! Definitely recommend! Thanks Dr. Barnes!

I normally go to Noah's in Greenfield, but Mt Comfort definitely won me over. They were quick to get our pup in for her UTI concerns, they are super fair on their pricing, and the veterinarian is absolutely amazing in his care for the pets! I will never go anywhere else!

The staff here is always very sweet and polite, and always so kind to my pets. We’ve gone here twice so far, for a medical issue as well as to euthanize one of our dogs.
The prices are quite reasonable for their services, and they took very good care of us when we needed to have our dog put to sleep for old age and medical issues.
Dr. Barnes is very knowledgeable and concise without seeming rushed or apathetic, and helped us through the rough time we had with our ill dog.
