Originally a native of Southern California, Dr. Pham has now called Chicago his home for the last 10 years. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine before receiving his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2012.
His clinical training included rotations in Primary Care at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Pediatrics/Vision Therapy at Hellerstein & Brenner Vision Center in Denver, Advanced Care at Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, and Ocular Disease/Low Vision at Providence VA in Rhode Island.Dr. Pham places emphasis on preventative ocular health care and building trust with his patients.

Your overall health and the health of your eyes are related. Annual eye exams go beyond identifying and treating blurry/distorted vision, eye fatigue, focusing problems, or eye-muscle imbalance disorders. An eye exam can also help uncover an underlying ocular or systemic health condition and can aid in monitoring an existing one.

Dr. Pham is great and friendly. He carefully did several exams on my eyes and explained the procedures and result of the ones that mattered more to my eyes, while he was still efficient. Great experience.

One of the best medical appointment experiences I've ever had. Both the Dr. and staff were overwhelmingly kind and helpful, I felt reassured and comfortable immediately. The exam itself was thorough and highly professional. Dr. Pham spoke conscicely about my symptoms while at the same time being genuinely friendly and engaging. The flow of each step of the appointment was seamless and the entire process took less than 45 minutes, the cost is reasonable as well. Just fantastic, really.

I bought my glasses here because they let me walk in to browse frames w/out appointment. Was a great experience, friendly & helpful staff, good cleanliness/sanitation. Glasses came in much quicker than I expected, required no fitting. I spent a little more than I'd hoped to, but you get what you pay for. 10/10, would recommend.

The Art of Sight, a name carefully selected. A curated space where Dr. Pham and staff have given others and me the gift of sight. The thoughtfulness and care shown during the exam comes from the work and awareness put into the client's experience. A sense of comfort that opens the door to the right questions so we were able to find the right glasses for me. Dr. Pham puts the art into providing sight. I took my old, scratched, warped shades to Bao thinking all hope was lost on my favorite sunglasses and he brought them back to life!!! Bao took the time to reshape the whole frame, and even replaced the lenses with a darker shade since the previous lens was a tad too light. He finished them so quickly too!!! I was stunned, and had them in time for my trip! Thank you so much Bao for your years of experience, attention to detail and just overall wonderful energy. My husband and I both had an amazing experience at Art of Sight with Dr. Pham (Bao). He treated us with such professionalism, kindness, humor, and patience. Bao gave very personalized attention to both of us from our thorough eye exams to collaboration on frame selection. There are so many options for eye care in lakeview/LP--I chose Art of Sight based on their website and some good reviews, it definitely lived up to my expectations!
Dr. Pham was so nice, he asked me what music I liked and played it during our appointment. COVID is an issue right now and I felt very safe in the shop, he kept everything very clean and explained each part of the process. He was fun to talk to and great at his job. They have a nice selection of frames in store with a reasonable turnaround.

Dr. Pham created the perfect blue light glasses for me. While working from home the last couple months, and staring at multiple screens throughout the day, I knew I needed to protect my eyes. For someone that never needed glasses, I didn't know what would look best for my face shape. I showed Dr. Pham a couple photos of frames that I liked, and he was able to make me a pair of custom, chic and face-flattering blue light blocking glasses. Great and understanding doctor. I was having a bad week and didn't want to make this appointment, but Dr. Pham turned out to be the unexpected reminder that people can be truly kind. Was very informative during my exam and patient about explaining everything that he was doing. Good selection of eye glasses and complete willingness to work with you. Was able to book an appointment online with ease. Very fair exam rates also, even if you don't have insurance (which I don't).

I was searching for a new optometrist and eyewear in Lakeview East, but was having no luck until I stepped into Art of Sight Eyecare. Immediately upon meeting Dr. Pham, I knew I was in good hands! Dr. Pham is an intelligent, stylish, and energetic optometrist who recommended a wonderful pair of Japanese designer frames, which I immediately fell in love with. My last contact broke and I needed to go to an optometrist STAT to get a prescription. I called maybe 8 before I talked to Dr. Pham on the phone and felt like he understood me/ my situation. I went in flustered because I only had my glasses from 6 years ago, and he really helped me out. He definitely knows how to give great customer service and deal with my fickleness, questions, and perfectionist tendencies. AKA I felt extremely comfortable during the exam [he explained the whys and hows], when I picked my glasses [they spent 20-30 min helping me pick glasses i really liked].

I've seen a ton of optometrists since I've had to wear glasses as a teenager and in my most honest opinion, Dr. Pham has been the best optometrist by far.
The best example is just the simple eye exam. All the optometrist I've dealt with before would just breeze right by it. It felt like almost like dealing with a robot doctor. It always seemed rush and impersonal but I eventually just got use to that style. But then I got my routine exam by dr Pham and it was completely different. He took his time, explained what he was going to do before each step and then explained what my results

I had such a great experience at Art of Sight and have finally been able to find a trusted optometrist to stick with! Love that I can book an appointment online. The the location is convenient, clean, modern and comfortable. Dr. Pham and his staff are the best. Fresh spot to get your eye exam! This place is clean and efficient and Dr. Pham is a very caring eye doctor. The staff was able to run my vision plan and gladly helped me understand what benefits I have. I had some questions about my astigmatism and he patiently explained that I wasn't going blind and everything was just fine! I also usually have severely dry eyes and allergies but Dr Pham fit me with some new Total 1 contact lenses that are soo comfortable I can barely feel them. I didn't know contacts could feel this good! Also loving my new Masunaga glasses-- so clean but distinguished

Wonderful and easy experience all around! Dr. Pham and his staff helped simplify and explained our vision insurance. He truly cares for each of his patients and makes you feel extremely welcome. I was able to get a new supply of contacts for the year, and also had two pairs of glasses repaired with new replacement lenses. I prefer wearing contacts and I wasn't ready to let go of a pair of old frames and Tom Ford sunglasses.
