Heriberto Lopez, our Head Instructor has over 12 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training experience. He is also a combat veteran with four combat tours and over 20 years of active duty in the US Army, as a US Army Paratrooper and Logistics Manager. While serving in the Army, he was also a Modern Army Combatives instructor.
When kid's step on the mats for the very first time it's normal for them to be a little apprehensive. We understand that kids are unique individuals with different learning paces and styles so we offer training in a non-intimidating environment suitable for any kid.

My family and I moved to VA from CO (thanks military). My search has begun to find a home gym. Three things that I was searching for in an academy: 1. Strong BJJ Lineage 2. Clean and Safe Environment 3. Engaged kids class.
I was taught that BJJ lineage is a comparison to college accreditation. Strong lineage indicates high quality education. Owner and head instructor, Coach Heriberto, has an impressive lineage. He has trained under some of the most notable BJJ black belts, and it shows through his knowledge and skill. He is one of the best coaches that I have learned from. He has an art for teaching

An amazing Jiu-Jitsu academy. I traveled to the local area on business and was able to train with these guys for almost 2 weeks. Great instructors and awesome welcoming environment. Very detailed when they teach and demonstrate the techniques, but very reader friendly as well. These guys are solid and they really take care of their students. No negative clicks whatsoever. I have trained a lot throughout the entire US when traveling and I can say that this is a great school with a very positive and professional vibe. I will definitely be back here to train on my next trip.

Awesome Jujitsu school for anyone in the Area ... owner is retired military and runs a great academy. Good range of belts and a relaxed environment. They also have morning and evening classes. I'll be hitting up 804 JiuJitsu every time i am in the area.

I trained with 804 Jiu Jitsu for about a year and a half. The coaches as well as the members were very welcoming since day 1. The atmosphere is truly amazing. You do not have to worry about not having any BJJ experience...the coaches have years of experience and are always willing to help out before, during and after class. I would recommend for any level and all ages (they do have kids classes too). It is a great way to stay fit and learn self defense at the same time!

804 Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a team it’s a family! The owner Coach Heriberto and his staff are professional and extremely knowledgeable. There were opportunities to attend seminars and competitions! The training for adults was perfect for all levels of belts, and lots of team members at different levels to roll with and learn from. The kids classes were well ran and engaging for all ages!

Myself, hubby and kiddos throughly enjoy coming to BJJ classes here! It’s another family for sure. Head coach is awesome and so is the assistant coach. Their knowledge and passion it’s superb. They make you want to be there. Everyday if you could. Highly recommend it.
