If the service is under $95 we typically complete the service and contact you when its ready for pickup. If the service exceeds $95 we contact you with a quote for the services needed.

My laptop would not boot up. I was having a problem with the charging cord. Estimated turn around time was 2-3 days but surprisingly the next day I got a call that was ok and ready to go. Emelia explained what I had done wrong and then even helped me with one of my email addresses in just a few keystrokes.
I used the Best Of listing for computer repair from the Northwest Herald and was very happy I did.

My dell laptop was running terribly slow and the charging receptacle was completely messed up. I called at 3:00pm and spoke to Emilia she suggested I bring it in to have it diagnosed. I dropped it off and a little bit later she called to inform me that the receptacle was fixed and that they suggested i have them replace the hard drive with a new solid state unit.
I agreed and was able to pick it up the very next morning at 9:30.
$243.00 later my machine is working perfectly and I couldn't be happier!!

These folks were some of the most Professionally Minded, Understanding, Helpful Computer Consultants in the area. They are a business dedicated to the satisfaction of their customers (whom in my observations seem to come to them with all their computer needs). By far the best consumer service I have ever had. I needed a laptop for a while so I started searching and figured I'd check these guys out, by far the best computer store I've been to. I forgot his name but the man with longer hair helped walk me through their collection and helped me find what I needed. I needed something for programming and basic photo editing and we found the perfect fit for me. A bit out of my price range but I've been using it for a few hours and haven't had any issues, I am happy with this purchase. Minor scratches but that's a small price to pay for a used laptop that runs

Our family has used Echelon Computer services for many years for both repair and purchase. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Just purchased 2 used desktops to replace our old xp's and Blake did a great job of transferring all my files over to the new ones. I am very pleased. This afternoon he even helped me set up a very old printer remotely. Thank you Blanke. It now works.

It is clear they really love what they do and take great pride in doing it well. I took my 2013 MacBook Pro in to have a new drive and RAM installed.
We had the time to take it apart right there on the counter and they gave me a clear idea of what it needed, what was recommended, how much it would cost, and when it would be ready. All done exactly as promised and returned with great enthusiasm. Nicely done!!

At first I went to Cary Grove Computers on Route14. He was nice, but he didn't have the used machine to fit what I needed yesterday. He recommended I try Echelon in Crystal Lake saying that "they may be able to help you better in this case"
Anyway, without getting into the details of my sale I will tell you that Blake was very helpful, very efficient and I could tell he was being honest with me.
