The pudding is so good! I got the Banana Pudding and wow, didn't expect it to be such a treat! The flavors were on point and made for such a delicious dessert. I wanted to try the Red Velvet flavor, but they said it wasn't in season, hopefully they'll have next time I'm here.

I also regret getting the medium size, get a large pint because it's quite addicting!

I love magnolias banana pudding and I've had it from numerous locations throughout the city inside Bloomingdales and near Rockefeller center. However this location was not it honestly. I ordered a large. The batch I received had no flavor whats so ever and the bananas tasted sour. Please ensure that you're selling good batches. This experience won't stop me. I will continue to get my banana pudding just never again from this location.

So, Magnolia Bakery makes extraordinary banana pudding that rivals that of my nana but don't tell her. The West Village location is no exception.

The reason for the 3 stars is because I've been to the location a few times and they've closed up shop earlier than the posted times online. My suggestion would just be to call before you have your heart set on the banana pudding and make the trek to walk over.

The store is pretty small and warm but it smells so good. Service was ok - they were busy, so it seemed like a get you out as soon as possible thing. I came for the banana pudding, and oh my god, it was delicious. Everything I expected and more. I wish I could take tubs home with me. You have to try it.

I had extremely high expectations for this bakery. Giving all the hype that surrounds it I knew it had to be on the list of places to checkout.

When we arrived they were doing a photo shoot outside. They did not open until about 10:15/20. I along with a few other customers stood outside waiting. Once in, it is very small. The staff was polite and inviting.

The cupcakes did not live up to the hype. I had an extremely dry and over cooked confetti cupcake. My chocolate was great! The red velvet was meh as well. It was so disappointing. Some lacked flavor. The icing on some were great.

I ordered banana pudding and pecan pie for Thanksgiving. It arrived damaged with the banana pudding splattered all over the box, it wasn't possible to eat it. The pecan pie came in ok shape since it was boxed up.

I understand that things happen with the mail, what I don't understand is why I've been ghosted by their customer service. I've sent 3 emails explaining the delivery and none have been answered. I called the number they have listed only to be told I need to email them I even reached out to them on social media and still nothing. It's been two weeks and now I

This review is for their banana pudding. Amazing!!! Got the medium size (enough for 2 people). Very creamy, not too sweet with pieces of bananas and wafer cookies. Can't believe I never had this before after living in NYC for so long. Definitely a must get!

When I saw the banana pudding on my Instagram feed, I knew I had to make a trip to Magnolia (from Boston). I was a bit skeptical as social media has disappointed me in the past -- that being said, this place takes the dessert crown.

I cannot begin to describe how good the banana pudding and carrot cake were. Each bite bested the last and the flavors were out of this world. The crushed nilla wafers were a great textural contrast. The pudding was especially fluffy and whipped, which was a boon considering how "light" I felt after finishing the cup. I can't wait to come back... I&apos

I came here years ago and really enjoyed my experience. However, I recently came back because I had a friend from out of town who wanted to try the famous banana pudding. We ordered two small containers to go. Got home only to realize both containers were mislabeled and had something with chocolate chips in it and zero bananas. It was an extremely disappointing experience.

Magnolias is great. The Banana bread pudding is, in my opinion, 100% the reason to go and the thing to get-- and it really is delicious. The small cakes, pies and such are quite good. The cookies I'd skip, I've never had a great one at least. Definitely worth a stop if the line isn't too long, then head over to the water to enjoy your treats :)

Magnolia Bakery is a requisite for any visit to New York City. This charming, boutique bakery in the West Village embodies the class, sophistication, creativity and chic that is the West Village. The queue outside the establishment should be one's first indication they are in for a very special treat. The menu has seasonal items, so one should absolutely plan on multiple visits to sample the various offerings. We recently tried the Apple Crisp Pudding. Suffice it to say this treat is exceptional. An amalgamation of flavors and textures, the Apple Crisp Pudding is quintessential fall/Thanksgiving

Pretty good bakery. This is the original location. I had to try their banana pudding because that's what they're famous for. It was pretty good, but it had a little too much whipped cream in it. I also had a vanilla confetti cupcake. It was good as well - super sweet, but good.

UPDATE:
Magnolia now has multiple locations with hit and miss quality but one thing remains the same: the banana pudding is a classic and always delicious!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: The lemon cupcake & the carrot cupcake are divine!!! Super moist cake and perfect frosting. Both had a perfect balance of flavors.

The lemon one took me by surprise. The lemon flavor really cuts through the richness of the buttercream.
The carrot cupcake had walnuts and raisins in it which added a very nice texture. It went perfect with the cream cheese frosting.

I like that the frosting on both wasn't too sweet

Came here after Breakfast near by.
During covid and at the time 9f my being here. They only allow 6 people in store at one time. And that leaves for a forming line outside waiting for the goodies.

Fresh bake desserts at a reasonable price. But was not as I expected. Do not get me wrong. I am a sweets hog. Love it like the next. But if I am going to feel guilty for having it. It needs to be sweet. . This to me was diner dessert sweet. Something that would due but not satisfy my sweet tooth long.

This place is great for decadence. I hope they update their menu with vegan options soon as most of my friends are vegan or vegetarian. Staff are friendly and they made such an effort to make their place safe for Covid-19.

Finally got my hands on their famous banana bread pudding and I loved it!
Like something I've never had 😍🍌
A must try if you haven't.
They had a choclate and vanilla flavoured one. Both were awesome although I liked the chocolate one better.
