Upon first impression I was not too excited but I was also not in a great place. After a few days went by thanks began to get a whole lot better. The goal for me was to get sober and have the tools to maintain sobriety when I left here. I won hundred percent feel that I got what I came for and learned that all of this was part of the process to get me well. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who is serious about recovery. Don’t waste your time unless you really want to recover and learn how to be sober. If that’s your goal this is your place

This is the 6th rehab facility that I have experienced. It has been the best that I have experienced. Every rehab facility has it's problems and it's good points. The experience at The Right Step for me, has been 99% positive. Chief among the assets that The Right Step has is the staff. Far more than any other facility I felt not only cared for, but also was allowed to retain my dignity in what feels like, for many of us at least, a shameful glitch in our life journey. I felt respected, and I felt like I was allowed to retain my dignity throughout the experience.

I would still be on the streets using if I hadn't found this little slice of heaven, and now, I wouldn't be as far in my recovery without The Right Step Hill Country. i highly recommend it. The staff is very helpful and you'll find yourself making life long friends to help assist your sobriety moving forward... after your done is when the real battle begins.. The setting in the hill country of Texas with cozy cabins tucked away in the midst of beautiful sprawling Texas Live Oaks offered a sense of solace away from the throws and chaos of my addiction.
Self reflection and self discovery is what happens here and if that’s what you seek you will surely find it.
Additionally, Angie is the best therapist period and Dr. Garcia is unbelievably awesome at his job as well!

My name is Patrick McKinney. And I came to the program on March 28th of 2021. The recovery program was the best program I have ever been to In My Life. I had tried other recovery options and they never seem to work. I'm so grateful for all the staff and everybody at the facility who helped me in my recovery. Since leaving the program I have been clean. And have not relapsed I thank the Lord and staff for helping me to make it where I am today in my recovery. I am in awe of the experience I had while in treatment. The staff listened and were there for me every step of my journey to a new sober life. I cant say enough about the team of doctors, the counselors, nursing staff are all A+. The food is amazing!!! Don't take a chance and go anywhere else for treatment. the entire team is passionate and truly care.

--It started off great, FINALLY had opened up and felt ACCEPTED by people around me. Then, because a person can't get help until you are honest and open, I decided to tell my "Counselor" my inner feeling of self hate and some past suicide issues (16 YEAR PRIOR). The next day they forced me to either change programs into a more "psychiatric" close watch program or leave.
--I felt violated. My trust was abused. I begged them to reconsider and to take into consideration my progress before moving me.
