This company is a scam they are in cahoots with apartment complexes in St. Petersburg Florida Northside area & are towing residents and visitors cars illegally. They towed my mother car from my sisters apartment complex, she had a handicap plate, parked in handicap parking. My mother was able to receive a refund from the apartment complex however these companies are working hand-in-hand. Please hire or seek an attorney DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Civil claims can be done downtown st.Pete courthouse in the self-help lobby, start suing these people.

I can’t speak for every employee there but the call centre was friendly and informative. The gentleman who returned my car was so friendly and deeply kind. We chatted about tattoos, our hometowns; he seemed genuinely apologetic about my car being in the lot. Wasn’t his fault of course! I had accidentally parked in a permit only zone & didn’t realise what I had done until it was too late. My car was taken in carefully and parked in a great spot. Not that this review is going to make any difference. This company is filled with criminals. The police won't do anything, my apartment complex who contracted them won't do anything. Next step is a lawyer, and at this point Im not sure It's worth it..

According to the state statute, if the owner of the vehicle shows up, they must stop and offer for you to pay at the most half of the towing

Tow company illegally towed 40+ vehicles on 9/5/21 using a spotter. They violated many laws by doing so. Such as more than 10 miles from spot of tow, signs not posted with proper information, using threatening words from dispatch including foul language. I am pursing legal action currently and will update post soon.

Either the manager of this place or our building superintendent is a liar. They keep telling residents cars yet they have not towed the truck with a Tow sticker on it. Their tow guy claims to not have seen either one of the two parking passes on my daughter's car one very clearly fell out of the back window when he hooked her car up we have photographic evidence of that. Not only that but the building superintendent says that she called my daughters license plate into the company and the company says she didn't $185 later my college student is very upset and so am I.

They towed my car that had been in an accident and were surprisingly very easy to deal with. The guy at the front desk was very cordial and friendly. Like many others, experiences with tow truck companies is always 95% of the time horrible, but this occasion was definitely not one of them. And trust me, I like tow truck companies as much as I like insurance companies...

Very creepy place, I parked illegally which I understand I was towed. Upon arriving at their location to retrieve my car, they recited to me the whole story of us getting out of our car and etc out of nowhere. I think they even recited what a women near us was wearing that wasn't with us. I wasn't even challenging them that I parked illegally. I guess just wanted to show domiance or something? Super creeped my wife and I out.

They literally towed my car in a parking lot and didn't leave a note or number of how to contact them. None of them had masks on when I went to get my car back and they were making jokes at the expense of customers who could not afford $169 to get their car back. They're predators and honestly just rude. If you're in saint pete watch out because they're lurking. They drive a minion tow truck( how manly). They also tow customers of the actual store parking lot!!! There's additional reviews that state this besides mine. Like how is this legal? Sincerely hate yall.

If I could give negative Stars I would! One of their tow truck drivers is driving around with my vehicle currently stolen! He no longer works for the company but the owner of the company, Aaron, says this is "not any of his problem" that was the response when I called with my concerns! The police will be handling it but what an unprofessional terrible f****** piece of s*** business! Aaron it will be your concern when the civil lawsuit includes you!!

My daughter was in a serious car crash and A-1 responded to the crash. Because of her injuries, she didn't talk to the trooper or get any paperwork so we didn't know where the car was. We tracked her phone to A-1 and called. Kenny couldn't have been nicer or more concerned about my daughter. Before I arrived to get her phone and computer, Rick (the guy who responded to the accident) went through the crushed car to find her important things. The inside of her car was covered in blood and glass and he didn't want me to have to deal with that while we were still dealing with her

These guys are fantastic! I parked illegally at a Publix, but I thought it would be fine. Luckily, I got out of my car and a nice burly man in a black Dodge Ram told me that I would for sure get towed by him and A-1 Towing and Recovery. Thank goodness for his help; my car getting towed would have ruined my day! A-1 Towing and Recovery doesn’t really want to scam you, they want to help you make good decisions by giving themselves up as undercover tow spies, and not towing your car. Great customer service, 10/10 recommend!

Towed a car illegally from a lot that didn't even have a sign saying it was private property and would be towed. Towed the car and then closed their business so I couldn't call or pick it up. Disgusting horrible people. I had to call the police to find out it had been towed. They steal cars then hold them hostage.

What a racket they have. Went to St Pete Beach. Parked at Publix Dolphin Plaza. They are towing cars out and parking behind the shopping center and when they have enough for a load sending them 30 min away. Guy behind the counter was a real slim ball. Gave us a hard time. Threatened to not give us our car. Had 2 girls young crying and sent them down in the hood to get money at the atm. We ended giving them a ride. St Pete, Publix, should be ashamed $130 + $26 cab ride. Your treatment toward tourist sucks. Won't be back. Screw St Pete.

Guy is so sleezy. One time on a Friday night there werent any spaces in my apartment complex and so the pizza guy pulled up close to my apartment. He was still in the parking lot and not blocking anyone in or keeping anyone from going around him. I went after the pizza boy because he forgot my soda and saw this dirtbag hooking up his car with the pizza logo on the top of the car. Watched him yell at the poor kid and take money from him. He literally trolls apartment complexes looking for anyone to tow. Probably just pocketed the money himself and didnt even tell his manager. Please dont give this
