An Angioma is basically a growth on the skin consisting of blood vessels, which is benign, though sometimes unsightly. Treatment is not required unless you find its appearance unattractive and would like to be rid of it, or if the area is bleeding. There are several types of angiomas, including Spider Angiomas and Cherry Angiomas, and they can occur anywhere on the body.
Dermatology has always been about both skin health and appearance, but what makes the specialty so newsworthy today are the many breakthroughs in the science of anti-aging. We now have a brilliant array of non-surgical options for correcting the effects of time, environmental influences and even genetics.

Dr BELKIN adjusted his schedule to provide an urgent biopsy on Friday or same day, thereby avoiding long delay…not common in the Covid era in backed up Manhattan. His staff (including Tiffany and Avery and Ellen and others) were remarkable. As usual, Dr. BELKIN performed at the highest level in his thorough and painless procedure.

Had an annual physical with Dr. John Adams, and never actually saw him. They took the blood work, waited in a room in the paper gown for 45 mins. No one ever came by, so guessing the Dr forgot about me, finally just got up and left. Got my blood work results back via the Apple Health app, never even got a call from him to go over the results. Won't be going back. Looking at other reviews, seems like it's a common thread.
On the way out though, NY Dermatology group will make sure they remind you to leave a review, so here's the review they wanted.

Dr. Castilla and Helen the office manager are both amazing and super nice and helpful! Definitely the most comfortable experience at a doctor’s office I’ve had in a long time. I was seen quickly, the office itself is beautifully designed and welcoming, and the care is extremely attentive. Can’t recommend more!

Wonderful first appointment at NY Dermatology Group -- the ladies at the front desk were beyond welcoming and helpful answering questions; the space is immaculate, your skin feels better just upon walking in. Dr. Belkin was genuine, informative, and gave me hope that the future of my skin will be bright. Looking forward to working with him in the coming weeks!

Great experience there. Dr. Perlmutter was a total pro: thorough, calm and kind, and she took the time to explain things. I have a lot of chronic skin issues, so my goal was to find a caring dermatologist vs. a place that focuses on beauty treatments. Very happy with my first-time visit. The doctor’s assistant called in prescriptions to a specialty pharmacy that was supposed to reach out to me in a few hrs, but i haven’t heard anything yet. May well be the fault of the pharm-act. I’m going to follow up.

They promptly took me in at my appointment time. They addressed all my concerns and had a clear plan for all my skin concerns. Did not feel like I was being pressured into a procedure. Truly felt like I was actively included in all course of treatment. Will definitely come again and highly recommend Dr. Saggar's professionalism.

Don't bother coming here. The office is large and spacious but Dr. Shilesh Iyer is a joke. I waited for almost 15 minutes and he literally saw me for less than 5. As I was waiting for my appointment time, I looked on ZocDoc to see his reviews. Just wanted an idea of what his worst patients were and if he'd improved. I had this bad feeling from this these three separate reviews that I will quote verbatim:
"Waste of money and time. I was with the Dr. Iyer for all of two minutes. He literally put on gloves and whipped them off 30 seconds later after barely examining my issue. The whole

I went here to get some bloodwork done, and probably won't ever come back.
The doctor was excellent, but the medical assistants...are they even medical assistants?
Firstly, they did not want to draw my blood because they didn't trust in their abilities.
Second, they never did one of the blood tests I had requested them to do, even though the doctor wrote it down.
Lastly, I have played phone tag with them for THREE days, trying to get my results via email (which have been ready for 4 days now). Which is cutting it close, since I need these results for an appoint I have the next day

If you are looking for a an amazing board certified dermatologist then you must see Dr. Vishal Saggar at NYDG. My skin cancer screening was the most thorough I have ever had, and Dr. Saggar's bedside manner was professional and endearing! I also learned so much about prevention which was an added bonus. I highly recommend Dr. Saggar!!!

NYDG Only Best Dr. Weiser whom the reviewers gave 5 stars in fact left and opened her own practice. The other reviews including mine below are the NYDG reality.
Please don't consider this place! They are so hungry for money and they truly don't care about their clients unless you're filthy rich or famous!
I flew from CA to NY based on the few old articles I read about Dr. Colbert. I am 37 years old female with olive skin, and he highly recommended Ultherapy, Triad, Botox, and Restylane. That costed me $11K!!!
I was happy with the ultherapy and it was okay with the Botox and Triad

NYDG has PCPs! Primary Care Physicians. Not just dermatologists. 5+ stars!
I see Dr. Carlos Rodriguez-Jaquez as my PCP as my office is literally right next door on 19th street. Glowing reviews and impressions from the front desk receptionist who is always smiles and wanting to help you, to the MA (Medical Assistant) who has excellent bedside… manners and preps you well before the doctor sees you, to Dr. Carlos Rodriguez-Jaquez himself. Dr. Rodriguez-Jaquez also has excellent bedside manners and was more than willing to give the time to listen to your concerns and history. He takes the time

I guess I should have asked is the excel v laser priced per zap or by the minute. I was in there less than 15 mins and the bill was $800. Double what I expected. Consult which you have to do is $350 and I'm not sure what I got for that other than an entrance and a free tiny bottle of water. Too early to say if the laser treatment was worth the money. I do see improvement. Filling out all their forms on a tiny computer they provide in the waiting area was like a college exam. For what you pay for their services I feel like they should do the work. You should get a free bottle of your choice

I called because I found out my doctor had relocated to this office. The receptionist was very unprofessional and rude. She talks a million miles a minute and when I told her I had insurance, she said..."well, we don't take a lot of insurances" without even hearing which insurance I had. After I told her which insurance I had and she saw that they do accept it she began telling me that it depends, because I may still get charge 300-400 dollars for the visit. Very rude and unprofessional. You just lost a patient and from the looks of the rest of the reviews, this place is not

Long overdue review. I went to see Dr. Perlmutter here a ways back for some Sebaceous Hyperplasia removal. These are little oil glands that form bumps on your face. More annoying than anything else, especially for someone as neurotic as me. (This is not covered under insurance as it's considered cosmetic.)
She didn't seem to worried about whether or not she can do it and I had full confidence in her at the time to do so. We used that electric zap treatment on them.
She said, they'd redden. They did. Scab. They did, and then disappear. They did not!
I went back to show her and

I chose Dr John Adams at The New York Dermatology Group at 119 5th ave NY because he was the closest Dr to my office and as he was with Oscar I figured he had been vetted and approved. Boy was I wrong.
I made an appointment to get a prescription refilled. I turned up on time and waited 30 minted before I was ushered into an office, I waited another 20 minutes before anyone came in. Nearly an hour.
He then came in flustered and very unfriendly, immediately getting aggressive with me and generally giving an aura of "couldn't be bothered". Dr John Adams bedside manner is non existent

I just had such a disappointing experience. I have been going for red laser panel treatments for the last six weeks. They always put eye and face serum on before the treatment . Today I was told that the serums are not included. OK. I told them I want d to purchase the serum and she said she would return with the price. She never came back. While… my eyes were closed during the treatment ( it is a laser panel) I opened them for a moment and realized that I was under the wrong panel. So instead of a collagen boosting treatment I received a treatment for acne! To add insult to injury they

This place has gone down hill. I've been coming here for a few years with the exception of a brief hiatus when my insurance changed. I made an appt on Zocdoc when I received a reminder from NYDG that I was due for an annual. I went into my appt knowing there were several things I wanted to discuss, including moles (I assumed I'd get an annual check), and a new routine since I'm about to turn 30 and the other products I've gotten from them have been ineffective.
Well, turns out there wasn't time to do a full mole screen (which can literally take 5 minutes) because I didn

Dr. Weiser forgot to remove a part of my tattoo when she did my treatment. I did not pay attention because it's on my back. I found out after because the assistant cover just a part of the tattoo. I am very angry because I pay $ 800 a treatment. At this price I require at least some professionalism.
Even all the assistants they couldn't figured out ! This is ridiculous they absolutely didn't care. I lost my time, my patience, and my money !
I had to come back 3 days after, and after the laser they put icepack on my skin but they didn't cover with a gloves. Meaning they put
