Acne appears when a pore in our skin clogs. This clog begins with dead skin cells. Normally, dead skin cells rise to surface of the pore, and the body sheds the cells. Fantastic doctor! I had my first telemedicine appointment with her last week and she was very attentive to my needs. She spent about half an hour with me discussing my concerns and setting up a treatment plan with me. So far the results have been effective! She's very sweet, kind and knowledgeable! I came here twice. Waste of money.
The first time was for acne on my face. I had an appointment for 4:30 PM. I came in and there was someone waiting. I sat down and then three more people came in and said they had the same appointment time. So they had 5 people booked for the same appointment time, ridiculous.
I had to wait 25 minutes after my appointment time to be seen by a nurse type person. Then another 15 minutes. Now it's 5:10. Finally the doctor comes in. Immediately she's in a rush. She asks me what's wrong. I say acne on my face. She says okay, hands me a pre-printed

Overall I had a terrible experience with 212Skin. This is the first time I’ve ever switched doctors for a reason other than a move.
While the doctor seems warm and competent, the office is poorly run. The last time I was there I arrived a few minutes early but waited more than 50 minutes after my appointment time to see the doctor. The staff offered no explanation. Other visits had long wait times as well.
They are also unresponsive at a level I have never seen from a doctors office. I needed to schedule a follow up appointment and filled out their online form three times. No one ever contacted

Dr. Avshalumova (aka Dr. A) is, without a doubt, the best doctor I've ever had. In addition to his first-rate expertise and professionalism, Dr. A promptly, respectfully, and comprehensively addresses all of my concerns/questions, both in-person and over email. I was in a scheduling bind last summer, and she ALWAYS made time for me, which involved frequent and last-minute treatments that vastly improved my psoriasis. Seriously- the nicest, most knowledgeable and humble doctor you will see. I had to take my son for an emergency visit while we were visiting NY. She was able to fit us in and didn't charge and arm and a leg. Treated my son quickly and efficiently, didn't try to sell me anything and honestly answered my questions about my own skin without trying to push me into any treatments. The only negative is that she is too far from me to see her on a regular basis.

As a result of an issue I had with 212 Skin, I wrote a review to share my experience with this practice. Following My review (see below), Dr A immediately called me and DEMANDED that I remove my review claiming that I should not review her practice based on my experience with her employees (Hello, it YOUR practice!!). She got off the phone letting me know that she would be taking action. I did not realize that her way of taking action was by creating several pseudonyms to review a business venture I’m involved in. I've been to 50 Derms due to the fact that i have been genetically dealt every skin disorder known to mankind. Dr A is far and away the best. Always available and truly cares to make you better. I don't have to wait a month to see her. She is ridiculously thorough and just a kind hearted brilliant doctor .
