Doctor Buchness has the rare gift of being a brilliant physician as well as a doctor who embodies the concept of great 'bedside manner'. Dr. Buchness has diagnosed and helped me in so many respects - she is a true gem. Her office is incredible, as is her staff. I encourage anyone wishing dermatology help to run - not walk - to engage her.

I've live in NYC my entire life and only go to the best doctors. Dr.Bushness has stellar credentials and been my dermatologist for a long time, she has seen me through some really challenging times in my life. She is at the top of her profession. She is capable of it all. I recommend her and her staff.
What you won't get? A pretentious office filled with staff that make you feel self conscious. They are warm, kind, responsive and professional.
I have never had a unpleasant experience and
always leave with a smile and usually a kind word.

While the Dr is great, the front desk staff is horrible. They rarely answer the phone and when they do answer they leave you on hold for long periods of time. They never say "may I put you on hold" but rather they cut you off mid sentence and say "hold on." I've wasted so much time on hold with this office only for them to tell me to just use the patient portal and send a message that way.
When you ask to speak to a Dr or nurse they tell you one will call you back, which doesn't happen. If you try calling back again, they will say use the patient portal. Sometimes

I have been seeing Dr Buchness for almost 10 years now. I see her for both dermatology and cosmetic (botox). She is super easy and relaxing to talk to, and works with you depending on your specific needs. She is super thorough, and takes the time to listen to my needs. She is also very good at botox! I have been to other places in the city, and I will never go anywhere since I came to her for this! She is super detailed, is very precise, and leaves you happy! She also does both cosmetic and dermatology in one visit, which is super convenient.

I should have listened to all of the other reviews regarding mismanagement of payments. I paid my balance and am receiving a bill from them THREE years after date of service! The more important reason to see someone else though is, after I was checked for moles and told I was in the clear, I got a second opinion and had a mole removed that came back precancerous!

I went to Dr. Buchness several years ago for UVB treatments for a skin pigmentation issue and their office was always friendly, hygienic and efficient.
I went back today for a consultation on another skin issue and had a good experience. The staff is taking the necessary precautions regarding COVID-19 and I felt safe and comfortable. The office is clean and well kept. My appointment was on time and I got what I wanted out of the consultation.
Dr. Buchness takes the time to explain to procedure and treatment options and pricing. The staff is courteous and friendly, as always. Good experience

PLEASE read the other reviews before you come to this office. It was easy to make an appointment through Zocdoc but after that, everything was down hill. Long wait times and very rushed appointment. Prescriptions were written but the CVS repeatedly did not receive anything. After calling Dr. Buchness office over and over and being reassured the prescription would be there the next day..the next day... the next day... with many excuses about broken computers and lies on repeat. Then they FINALLY admit they lost all of my patient information! THEN a year and a half later I receive a bill from them

The doctor was great. The office policy and handling is awful. Went for a treatment that was two for one and missed the second "free" because it had to be within a month. They never told me this. They just said I'd like to see you in a month. Not that I would lose the second treatment if I didn't come in within that time frame.

Dr. Buchones might be a fine director but her office staff is there to steal!! From you. There is no other way to say it. They condition the appointment only after I pay them some ridiculous amount of money they falsfuly demand I owed. And the funny thing is that they did the same exact thing to my husband a few month ago. It ended with them apologizing and refunding him the money. I was foolish for me to trust them. I have no idea what kind of a business this place is running but they proof themselves to be very shady and unworthy. I do not recommend anybody to go there unless you like getting

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! Dr. Buchness was actually very nice, professional, and more than competent for my visit. The problem is the accounting staff. I paid my responsibility during the original visit in June 2014, and they collected what they could from my insurance. Imagine my surprise when their office sent me another bill for $8.51 in October 2016! On principal, I called multiple times to request an explanation and/or waive this as a nuisance. There office refused to returned phone calls or follow up, and now they sent a follow up in February 2017 with another $35 processing fee tacked

I was underwhelmed with my experience with Dr. Buchness and my treatment. Her bedside manner was where my appointment became problematic. Firstly she was 30 min late. What New Yorker has time for that? Then when she came in she was super casual with me. You're 30 min late, please show some urgency here. It was a first visit and I was referred to her by another doctors office where a friend goes, but because they didn't take my insurance they referred me to Dr. Buchness. She asked which doctor and then started telling me all about that particular doctors PERSONAL HEALTH ISSUES. Firstly

Never been here, but never will thanks to their inability to protect client information. If you can't be prudent and ensure that client information (e.g., social security numbers) is safeguarded, then you shouldn't be in the medical business. This is similar to a credit card company being hacked, but actually even worse because the email containing sensitive client info was due to blatant human error.

I went for a body check up. Mrs Buchness had a very quick overlook at my body. for about 1 MN - 1 MN 1/2. Then she asked me to get dressed (in front of her) and talked to me for about 2 MN. everything looked good and the consultation was over. I was in shock! So not professional! So rude!
And she charged my insurance $ 400 for a 40 MN consultation!

I am amazed at other reviews; I have been going to Dr. Buchness for several years, for yearly checkups and a couple surgical procedures. She is an outstanding, competent, knowledgeable physician, always patient, great listener, wonderfully empathic and caring. The offices are light and airy, immaculate and the waiting room chairs most comfy ever (tried find mfr online but couldn't), wasn't crowded or noisy, very quiet. And I have never waited more than 15 minutes, sometimes less. Front desk are very accommodating on phone and in person. My son who lives in another state quite far away had a problem

Great office. I've been there twice for different issues. Both times, they accommodated me with the appointment time I needed, I was taken in to see the doctor almost immediately and the visit was quite pleasant. On the most recent visit, I was seen by the PA, Ashley, and she was as good as the Doctor herself . I highly recommend this office.
