Samer Jaber, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist who treats all ages and skin types and provides comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologic care for every patient. Dr. Jaber is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he teaches medical students and dermatology residents.
Cosmetic dermatology is a rapidly changing field, and we pride ourselves in using the latest treatments and techniques to achieve a natural and youthful appearance for our patients. Our providers take the time to thoroughly discuss each patient's goals and expectations before selecting the optimal treatment.
There have been significant advances in laser technology over the last twenty years. Lasers are used to improve and treat conditions ranging from acne, facial redness, broken capillaries, blood vessels, wrinkles, fine lines, brown/sun spots, melasma, stretch marks, surgical and acne scars. Acne is the most common skin condition in the United States, affecting over 40 million Americans.
Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S., with an estimated three million people affected annually. It is estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. The good news is that skin cancer, when caught early, is easily treatable. Thus, timely detection is key.
We are now using Klara, a secure messaging platform, to communicate with our patients. No more waiting on hold. No more phone tag. Our office is on the north side of Washington Square Park, just west of Fifth Avenue and the Washington Square Arch. Susana is amazing. I visited her back in October of 2020 for my severe acne. She was extremely understanding, focused on what was going to better my skin and helping fix my insecurity. She put me on accutane which changed my life for the better. Through the whole process, she was really helpful. Constantly checking in to make sure I was good and making sure my skin was improving month after month. I am extremely thankful for her care. I strongly recommend her to others.

Have been going to Dr. Jaber for many years but because of life and COVID it was 4 years since I’ve last seen him. My recent visit reassured me that nothing had changed. Front desk personnel are nice and attentive. I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Jaber’s assistant, Kendra was amazing and took down and listened to all my skin concerns. Dr. Jaber was patient attentive and indulged me in all of my concerns with my skin (and bad jokes). Susanna is phenomenal. She listens to your skin concerns and doesn't downplay them as "not that bad" the way other dermatologists often do. She offers solutions in a way that makes you trust her (and thus far, the prescriptions she's offered me have been more effective than she said they would be) and provides good guidance as to when it's appropriate to consider alternate solutions.

Dr. Michelle Park is an amazing dermatologist. She covers all bases medically, listens intently to your concerns and spends time discussing her diagnosis and recommendations with you so that you fully understand and feel comfortable with the course of treatment prescribed.
