Dr. Fitzpatrick grew up in Andover, Massachusetts with a love for animals. In 1980, she attended Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. During her first year out of school, Dr. Fitzpatrick joined a small animal practice in Rochester, NY and volunteered at the Seneca Park Zoo where she continued her interest in zoo animal medicine.

Dental care is as important for dogs and cats as it is for humans. In fact, it's vital for their good health. In addition to decaying teeth and destroying bone, bacteria that have built up in the mouth can spread to vital organs (heart, liver, kidneys), causing serious - if not life-threatening - medical problems.
Beaver Lake Animal Hospital utilizes non-invasive digital radiography technology to diagnose a wide range of health conditions in pets, from routine ailments to serious disease. Digital radiography is a filmless x-ray system that produces immediate results, reduces exposure to radiation and requires less table time for your pets versus the traditional film method.

We have a bunny and these folks are the only ones in the area who know the ins and outs of rabbits. They were very nice, knowledgeable and able to help us with him in a timely manner. We have other animals that go to another vet, but once they allow new clients again we may switch everyone over. Highly recommend these folks

My vet hasn’t always had the answers, but they are always willing to do research and get back to me. I appreciate they don’t charge me an arm and a leg when I come in with mysterious issues. They take my concerns seriously and work on finding a solution.
Dr Ryan and the staff was incredible when I had Frankie and Tax Return (both rabbits) spayed. Frankie,my oldest rabbit had some complications and needed extra pain management. Dr Ryan took Frankie’s needs seriously and took care of her.

I cannot put in to words how beyond appreciative of everyone we are, at Beaver Lake Animal Hospital.. My big bunny Moose suddenly fell ill over last weekend and we were able to get him in first thing Monday morning after.. Had it not been the quick response of everyone there, my baby might not have recovered..Everyone took such good care of him and he was a good boy being treated...Our hearts are happy, because he's on the mend, mad at Mama(me) lol, but slowly getting better..THANK YOU!!!!!

My furry best friend had been a patient of Beaver Lake for a couple years. Martin was my side-kick, cuddle bug, and resource of unconditional love for almost 15 years (he was an adult when I adopted him- so Im not really sure how old he was). Martin became noticeably uncomfortable fast and we were able to be seen the same week I made the appointment. Unfortunately we found out that he was suffering from an aggressive cancer and that it had already metastasized. My boyfriend and I had to make the decision we all dread. Dr Fitzpatrick and her team were so incredible. They were comforting and understanding
