My search for king cake lead me to Three Brothers, which was the only bakery that had them available for pickup without any pre-order. Located along a semi-desolate stretch of Braeswood Blvd and overlooking the Brays Bayou, I wouldn't have assumed this would be a worthy bakery. Being that this is one of three locations in the city and with rock solid Yelp ratings, they're clearly doing something right.

From Christmas to Valentine's Day, they really do have a good selection of seasonal treats that are perfectly slated for holiday celebrations. Their variety of pies, custom cakes

Very good bakery. I got a pecan log, wow, like a chocolate covered pecan pie! It didn't last too long!

Then it was a to-go "Death by Chocolate" cupcake for the wife.

The prices are reasonable.

What a cozy little bakery!
Decided to try it for the first time on a cold day in January. The lady at the front desk was so nice and welcoming. She explained they don't have donuts but suggested other options. They have a bunch of different cookies and flavors for everyone. I even saw a brownie labeled made without sugar. Which is a great option as well. I truly liked what I got. They also have souvenirs and T- shirts. Absolutely coming back and bringing my friends over. Give it q try if you live close to one of these bakeries in Houston.

My family has been enjoying Three Bros for the past 50 years. In addition to my favorites like cherry danish, blueberry danish, cheese pockets, and various cookies, they have the best challah in Houston! Recently, I had the pleasure of tasting their chocolate pecan pie and apple pie. They were delicious as I expected they would be . This continues to be my favorite bakery. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

I got a cake last weekend for my wife's birthday. It was absolutely beautiful. However, when we tried it, it was absolutely terrible! The vanilla cake did not taste like pure vanilla and the chocolate frosting did not taste like pure chocolate. It tasted like one of the layers was soaked in some kind of syrup that did not taste very good. We each tried (unsuccessfully) to choke a piece down but neither of us made it all the way through and today we threw out the remainder of the cake. Yup. $50.00 into the trash. Especially disappointing as we were hoping it would taste as good as it looked

3 Bros Bakery is one of my top favorite bakeries along with Dessert Gallery and Moeller's. I have been a fan since 1995 when I got my first birthday cake from here. I have always gone to this original location since it has always been closer to me than the other two stores. My favorite things to get here are their delicious n famous Death By Chocolate Cake, Cherry Pie and Blueberry Danish without cream cheese. I ordered a slice of their Cherry Pie and a Hyde-A-San Cookie earlier this afternoon. Both were fantastic. The cherry pie from here is without question one of the top two best around

I'm sure that in anticipation of the thanksgiving day crowd many of the cakes were probably frozen. I bought an Italian Cream cake and while it was beautiful and tasted delicious, it was unfortunately dry. I've never had a bad experience before with this bakery and I will continue to support it as they always have amazing treats and consistently great customer service. But I felt that they should know this as they are quite popular and well reputed. My mother was a good sport about it as this was our main dessert for thanksgiving.

Thank you Josh and the bakers at the S. Braeswood location for creating for me an amazing cake for my 48th year of life. This far exceeded my initial vision for this cake. Thank you for the attention to details and really walking me through this "cake experience" as upon my initial visit to the store I had no idea about icing selections, size of the cake, etc. only just the design that I wanted, and you guys held my hand through the entire process...even going as far as drawing mock-ups of what I was asking/hoping for. I'm very happy and well pleased. You get 10 stars from me and definite recommendations

This is a classic bakery filled with cakes, breads, cookies and pastries. It’s fun just to walk in and see everything that is available. The staff is friendly and helpful and we’re happy to see me even though I was just passing by and a new customer.

We've been regulars for over 10 years. Today was the second time we deal with the store manager Katie and get the most rude attitude that any associate can have towards a customer. Without any reason she was again arrogant, insensitive and snotty. Unacceptable behavior towards anyone, let alone she had no reason to behave like that.

I was attended to by Sarah today and she was super friendly and helpful. I noticed the entire staff was the same as well. It's a pleasant environment to walk into. Lots of sweet treats and breads to choose from. The gingerbread man was soft, chewy and yummy. I went with some canolis and those were really tasty as well. Haven't yet tried the chocolate cake Sarah recommended to me, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Edit: the chocolate cake was really delicious and moist. Birthday boy loved it.

If I could I would give this place negative stars. I'm all about supporting mom and pop shops, but not when they treat the customers worse than trash- more like left over juice of the trash. I ordered a cappuccino and received literally one sip in the cup and rest was empty. When I returned and ask the girl kindly that my cup was 90% empty she said well that's your cappuccino with rude attitude. I know cappuccino is equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam. Sweetie, if I wanted to sip on air I would have made some imaginary cappuccino at home, and it would have been free! I've

I ordered two cakes for my baby shower and they were delicious! The ordering process was easy, and the staff was very helpful. I accidentally ordered from the Braeswood location instead of the Washington Ave location, and it was no problem. They made sure the cakes would be at the Washington location at our desired pickup time.

Outstanding!! Our 3 year old daughter had one wish for her birthday, I want a rainbow cake with dark blue frosting. Well it didn't take long for me to find Three Brothers and have them make a cake to her specifications.

The end result was PERFECT!! Beautiful and delicious. It was the highlight of her birthday.

I used to visit this place regularly as a child when they had a location in Sugar Land. The sweet scent of freshly baked goods is as strong as it was years ago and brought back so many memories.
I had the cherry and lemon hamantaschens. They were perfectly sweet and soft yet formed cookies. The fillings were incredible. I wish I had gotten more.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back!

The young lady who works there had a wonderfully cheery attitude, even early in the morning!
Ruggalach is $1.50 each or $5.99 for 6. These are great with a cup of tea or coffee. They are a somewhat crumbly cookie with very little filling compared to other stores. I personally enjoy that it's not very sweet. The apple coffee cake was also really good and large enough to share!
The cake slices are generously sized three layer delights at a cost of around $6.50. The cake smelled wonderful, the lemon filling was plentiful and not too sweet, the cake was soft and fluffy, but the icing was way too

I wish I could add a sixth star.

Undeterred, I braved the early hours of the winter storm Sunday, February 14, 2021, because I really had my heart set on king cake. It's Carnival, we're in the back end of a pandemic, and I haven't been home to New Orleans in many years; this was to be my one bit of joy, and nothing was about to take it from me.

I gleefully bought my king cake and some Valentine's Day petits fours, in which those were gone in a day, and the king cake by Ash Wednesday. My entire family loves Three Brothers Bakery, and we had a beautiful Tuesday evening of king

For so many years, Three Brothers has been my boss's favorite bakery shop, and of course mine too. He buys, I eat, good deal, isnt it?! The carrot cakes never fail and are OMG sooooooo darn delicious. It was nice to visit the store in person after so many months attributable to the pandemic, and it was even nicer to see local businesses surviving and doing well during these difficult times. #supportlocalbusiness :) The sweet aroma of the baked goods throughout the store is always pleasurable. Everything inside the display cases looks nice and cute. Prices are reasonable, and again the

Fact: The Jucker family (original 3 brothers) introduced bagels to Houston. I picked an everything bagel up the other day, and my mind was blown. It was so so good. I kept telling everyone that day about that bagel. I felt like I was back in New York.

Three Brothers is my favorite business to support because the brothers and sister are Holocaust survivors who came to Houston for a safer, better life. But they've kept their recipes from Poland and still serve them today. I just feel so good when I buy from them because they deserve our business. Please support local and grab the bagels (and

This has been on my "to try" radar for awhile. Today we wanted something sweet, so we picked up a carrot cake. The frosting is very good, but upon cutting into the cake it was obvious the cake was either old or way too dry. Especially a carrot cake - it should be moist! Instead it crumbled apart everywhere and caved in on itself.

So anyway, I checked the yelp reviews and saw this has been an ongoing issue. It's a shame because the flavor is good, but it's just not appealing to eat crumbly, dry cake. We got through half a slice before giving up.

I don't think I can recommend

This small, charming bakery has been around for decades in Houston. I remember visiting the Braeswood location as a child and marveling at their signature gingerbread man, cupcakes, and eclairs.

I had the chance to visit again this past Sunday morning. I opted for a Death by Chocolate cupcake and gingerbread man.

Death by Chocolate is a pretty accurate name - the delicious chocolate pieces, cream, ganache and cupcake are an intoxicating combination. I absolutely loved it, and shared it with my parents who were similarly impressed. I'm already thinking of excuses to order the Death by Chocolate

This bakery has the best pastries I have ever had!! Just wish I would have found it sooner. I love that the danishes are not super sweet but have just the right amount of flavor. My family and I also love that the danish bread unravels like a cinnamon roll. Speaking of the cinnamon roll, my husband said it was just ok, but maybe early in the morning when they are fresh they are much better. I took a lot of pictures when I went to pick up my order and some display cases may be a little empty in the pics because I went at the end of the day on a Saturday, but you can still see that they have a huge

I was looking for a bakery nearby and found this bakery on Google maps.

It was great to discover that they're celebrating their 70th year! There were so many choices!

I got the chocolate coffee cake to have for breakfast. It was not too sweet at all but I was thinking that it would be more chocolatey.

We had a family lunch and I got the chocolate meringue pie and a dozen of cookies - chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles. The cookies were such a hit with the kids. The chocolate chip ones disappeared quickly. The chocolate meringue pie was a tad too sweet for me but I loved the meringue
