Dental X-rays are an essential and necessary tool for providing comprehensive dental care. While a visual and physical examination of the teeth is often sufficient to successfully diagnose caries (infections) in teeth, there are places that cannot be examined without the aid of x-rays. When caries are found in the teeth, an x-ray allows the dentist to determine the extent of the infection.
Your first visit to Growing Grins Pediatric Dentistry establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with your family. During the first visit, we need to obtain important information about your child, including your child's medical and dental history, and discuss any treatment concerns we may find.
Routine dental cleanings and exams are an important part of good oral hygiene and health. The primary purpose of these visits is to provide oral health education to parents and children and identify potential oral health concerns. Just as parents take their infants to pediatricians for well-child visits, it is important to begin early infant dental visits to ensure health and prevent future dental problems.
