YOGA is a PRACTICE. The essence of YOGA is the practice of uniting mind, body, and spirit. How often do we move through life distracted with thoughts of another place and time? Consumed with "shoulds" and "to-dos", we allow thoughts of "what's next" or regrets of past events to dilute the joy of where we are, who we are with, and what we are experiencing in the current moment.
The Ayurvedic approach is about aligning with the cycles of nature. When in balance, you naturally desire only that which nurtures your health and life. You flow in harmony with your body's natural rhythms, getting restful sleep, feeding your senses with experiences, tastes, touch, aromas, sounds, and sights that uplift and nourish you.
Ayurveda, is "The Science Of Life", the oldest continually practiced health- care system in the world, (5000 years). The Ayurvedic approach is about aligning with the cycles of nature rather than struggling or trying to force things to go your way. When in balance, you naturally desire only that which nurtures your health and life.

I was disheartened to read one of the reviews left about Lisa. It could not be further from the truth.
Originally, Lisa worked with me to build a yoga program within my community, which is roughly one hour away from Lisa's community. From the first moment we spoke, Lisa was fully committed and determined throughout the growing pains of building a new program. After one year, Lisa and I both arrived at the realization that the program would not be self sustaining. I asked Lisa if she would be interested in doing a private class for me once a week, which she was, and the fee was minimal

Love love love Lisa Cohen's class. I have only been to 3 classes but each time walk away feeling amazing. Her practice really concentrates on the spiritual aspect of yoga and it's ability to reduce stress...the only way I can explain it is that I leave each class with a little more respect for myself and my body. It's not a highly physical practice if that's what you're looking for.
