For 70 years, the Faulhaber Funeral Home and the Faulhaber family have been an integral part in the life of Broadview Heights. Don and Lenore purchased her mother's house near the corner of Broadview and Sprague Roads. They remodeled, redecorated and moved in with their three children. Additions were added in 1961 and 1985.
The funeral home was the only funeral home in the area and became the center for emergency services. Ambulance service was provided for Broadview Heights, with back up service to North Royalton, Brecksville, Seven Hills, and Independence. An extension of the fire telephone was installed, along with the button that controlled the fire siren.

Services
Staff members of Faulhaber Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Donald Faulhaber, Jr. graduated from the Brecksville school system, attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and is a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

My grandmother was very clear she wanted a light blue casket. When my family went, the director ignored her request, her daughter's requests, and allowed the son's to choose a different color because "it didn't matter". He refused later requests by family to come see the blue and make a different choice. This may not matter to them, but it mattered to her and her daughters that this wish be honored. Really shameful behavior and by everyone. We miss you grandma, but you got lots of granddaughters ready to pick up the broom.

Exceptionally rude and unsympathetic staff. Aside from their dispicable mannerisms, my loved ones body looked nothing like him (unfortunately it wasn't my call to use this place). This is typical as I've seen this place abuse corpses for 20 years - they should get investigated once and for all. Overall, traumatic experience. Shame on them and shame on the church for recommending them.

Funeral directors were extremely short, bossy and rude to my family during the worst time of our lives- the day of the actual funeral. They expected us to know exactly where to go, what to do, where to carry things without being told and seemed bothered that we needed help or any sense of direction. For the love of god...please consider that some families have never suffered a loss before and this is their first time being part of a funeral.
Their embalming job was horrid as well. My loved one looked NOTHING like himself. I was in disbelief. I was nearly convinced they brought the wrong body to
