Shirley was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. She greatly enjoyed animals, cooking, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Leonard Fralin, Jr.; brother, James A. McCauley and. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Fitzgerald.
Joey A. "Joe" Charlton, is an owner and the President of the company. He has over 20 years experience in funeral service. He was born in Harrisonburg, raised in Waynesboro, where he was a 1983 graduate of Waynesboro High School. He attended various colleges pursuing studies in Psychology and was graduated with honors from Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA.

This funeral home goes above and beyond when you need that the most. The funeral home took care of everything for our event in a matter of days. My mom died unexpectedly and she did not have anything planned. I don't think the cost was unreasonable they were upfront about all costs. Joey at the funeral home took care of everything for us. It is hard to recommend a place I hope no one has to use but if you dom. This place is great!

This funeral home quoted a $2500 cremation fee. I contacted social services which said every funeral home will do it for $1500, which social services will pay $500. The funeral home inflated the bill. Social services needs my mothers bank statement. I need a death certificate from the funeral home to get the bank statement. The funeral home will not file for the death certificate without all of her biological children present even though some of them live far away. My mom has sat in a morgue for almost a week while these people have given us the run around and been rude to my family. Don’t deal

Wonderful, Attentive Staff that helped us make Mom's Memorial Special. From the moment we inquired about services to the post memorial details, Charlton and Groome were thoughtful, reassuring, respectful and enormously helpful.Losing a parent is tough, and the staff of Charlton and Groome made this journey so much easier. The grace and respect Joey Groome showed our family with Mom to get her to C&G, The attention to detail and clear explanation of services by Dave and John, Pat and Jackie.
