I brought in a 2003 Volkswagon Jetta I had just bought in an attempt to clear the warning lights on my dash to get my car inspected and registered. I had all my expectations met and then some. Firstly they did just a general all around inspection to find other issues i might want to address and boy were there some issues. But they laid it out step by step with pictures and laid out a course of action to get my car in probably the best shape its been in years. Now this cars almost pushing 20 years old and 210,000 miles but you'd never know if you drove it today. The only downside I can think of

You leave with your problem resolved and a far better understanding of the overall condition of your vehicle (at no additional cost despite what other reviews would say). Omar at Hans Imports is a rock star! I recently drove to RI from out of state for Labor Day weekend in my 30+ year old Alfa Romeo. On the second day of my trip I woke up to find that my car would not start. After spending a couple hours trying to get the car started with my basic mechanical knowledge, I was in desperate need of a mechanic to get me out of this jam.

Because my car make is somewhat uncommon, I needed to find someone with more specialized experience. I also needed to find someone who could try to fix my car on the Friday before the long weekend. Fortunately I called Hans Imports

Took my car to Han's to avoid the outrageous cost of going to a dealer to have a broken dipstick removed I was given an estimate of $75 which seemed reasonable. I dropped my car off in the morning a couple of hours later I got a phone call telling me it was bit more difficult than first though. However they did have time to do a complete inspection during this time and noted a few things that needed attention and would I like them to take care of it while the car was there. Came in for a check engine light and did other work and investigating on problems I didn’t ask about and charged me for that work. Took it somewhere else and got issues I was having fixed at a fraction of the cost. He says good work is not cheap and cheap work is not good. But I just wanted immediate issues fixed, the other stuff has not been an issue and I always felt like I got ripped off, would not recommend.

Absolutely terrible business practice!
After waiting 2 months on a diagnostic for my car that was promised in 2 weeks, not without having to pester them to no end about getting the report, they said the car would need a new used engine. With their outlandish price, I walked with it.
Just had the motor looked over by another shop before i swapped it and sold the old engine ONLY TO FIND OUT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MOTOR. In an attempt to charge me $5500 for something that just cost me not even 10% and 2 months of my wasted time.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!

This place does a great job. Very friendly, thorough, and fair pricing. I've had my brakes replaced here, and a few other things and I was impressed with their service and the way they handled my vehicle. Absolutely great experience with Omar and their crew! I had a stripped Allen key bolt that was holding on the steering wheel to my Mercedes, I was trying to do a steering wheel swap. No one would touch it and not even Mercedes themselves could get the bolt off. They did it in one day! They put on my new wheel and even cleared my codes. Amazing shop that I highly recommend. I will be going back for exhaust work shortly!

Last week I noticed a leak coming from my rear wheel and assumed it was a brake line so I immediately stopped by Hans Imports on the way to work. I left the car and they diagnosed it and it turned out to be the shocks. They were able to schedule me the following day to replace both rear shocks and some other minor things.

I picked up the car at the end of the day, they showed me pictures they had taken and went through a whole diagnostic check up on my car. They are very thorough and professional. I certainly will be taking my car there again if need be (I hope I don't need too!).

Extremely through and knowledgeable regarding German cars. Provided pictures of the areas that needed repairs, he shopped around for affordable parts, and showed me the damaged parts that were removed. I have been taking my 2002 BMW325i and just started taking my wife's 2002 Toyota 4Runner to Dave and Omar. They are meticulous in their work on the vehicles and very knowledgeable about both makes of vehicle. Last year, I thought I had an exhaust leak on the BMW manifold and figured I was looking at a very expensive job. They found it was just a loose spark plug. But I had already felt that they were very trustworthy. Prices lean towards the high side but well worth it for the quality of work. As a Master Technician... I know cars. I was busy running my own heating oil business and decided to send my vintage 1966 VW to Han's Imports. First of all, the name "Han's" seems cool.
Sorta like some German Wizard will be working on your vehicle.... well, not true, not true (at all)
Shop owner name in Omar, and in my opinion is 100% thief.
I had my vehicle there and ended up suing him for fraud. I ensure you I have NOT been the only one. In fact, his attorney is in jail since my last lawsuit.

Why can't I give 10 or 100 stars for this place? Took my fussy VW there after it died a mile away and I knew nothing about this place. They offered me a ride home even though I lived in walking distance and called me with a quote before touching my car.

Told me it couldn't be looked at until Friday (dropped it off at closing time on Wednesday) but they fixed her and she was ready to go on Thursday!

I know nothing about cars and when I go to pick up my baby, they had photos to walk me through other things I may need done in the future with rough estimates and if they really even needed

Had a customer vehicle with numerous random issues despite having the cluster replaced at Balise VW as diagnosed by them. Upon returning the vehicle to the dealer I was advised that it would be over $800 in repairs just to get to the point of being able to diagnose the actual issues. I spoke to the customer and asked for the option to have Omar at Hans give it a whirl. Omar was able to schedule me in quickly to be able to see the vehicle. It is great to know that there is a local mechanic available that is honest and forthcoming. Omar made sure that I was aware of any extra work that needed to be done before he went to work on my vehicle. Also, after the estimate, Omar gave me a multiple paged detailed report of what I may need in the near future and things to keep an eye on. Overall, this was a great, pressure free experience.

David took care of our suburban after a sudden cooling leak occurred. It was a difficult situation, my wife had taken the vehicle on a road trip and was suddenly stuck a long way from home. I quickly searched for repair shops online and Hans came up as a well reviewed establishment.

After a conversation with Dave, I felt comfortable enough to have the suburban towed to the shop where within the afternoon they had it up and running. They stayed late, as long as it took to complete the repair even though they didn't have the exact parts they needed. They did not take advantage of my wife

Always able to take care of my old Saab quickly and for a reasonable price. Also, they are all really great guys working there that I trust enough to refer friends and family.
