I spent 19 days at Montowese following a hospital stay. Despite the fact that they were short staffed, the staff that was there was attentive and caring. I had a problem with a nurse on the first day I was there, and it was taken care of immediately by the head of the nursing staff. The PT and OT departments were excellent, And both social work and psychology staff were available to speed the healing process. The food was actually quite good especially the eggplant parm! I came home feeling strengthened both emotionally and physically. I gave a four rating rather than a five because I found that

This rehab place is a joke. My husband was sent there from the hospital and did not get any better. Now they are kicking him out due to insurance issues. Instead of working with his insurance or trying to get some additional help because he's not ready to come home. They are just throwing him out. They don't care about their patients or their health only about money. This is the worst place I've ever came to.

Would give zero stars if possible. Quality of care and quality of services were poor. Food was inedible. Laundry lost more than once. Response of staff non-existent. Residents need a patient advocate to be watchful over their care to prevent medical errors. No communication with family members during stay, no help upon discharge. Staff minimal. Hour wait for bathroom or medications.Would not recommend.

Therapy department is amazing, they really go all out to help you get better, and there so supportive. The nurses are great they even remind you when your next med time is. The administor helped me understand things better, and has been helping me since day one. The kitchen does their utmost to make sure your stay is comfortable, and your experience is great. Keep it up everyone.

This place has horrible management!! Ever since ATHENA took over this place has gone down hill. It’s not the same anymore. Working here was has been hell!! Everyone is unprofessional and miserable!! They hire anyone who walks in the door experience or not. All the nurses do things that are illegal and not by the book. They pick and choose who they are nice too, keep or fire. Don’t ever bring your love ones here please take it from me I saw everything that was going on. AIDS do not treat the residents right 1 or attend to their needs and none of the nurses are really for the residents. Management

My loved one had an amazing short term rehab stay. She is functioning well and back to living alone. The staff from administration, nursing and therapy were professional and caring. She also enjoyed her meals. I am surprised to see the negative reviews as my loved one only had great things to say about her experience.

My mother was brought in earlier this month with a broken hip and wrist. Her care was deplorable. Food was dropped in front of her and the aide left without asking if she needed help. The aides were getting angry about helping her to the bathroom. Hello? broken hip and wrist!! Long story short - she fell 4 times in 3 days. I was told they could not guarantee her safety. 911 had to be called after I came to visit - her coloring was gray, her blood pressure extremely low and she could not speak. 3 days in Montowese earned her another week in the hospital. If your loved one cannot speak for themselves

Am currently staying here. besides glen and one other nurse whose name escapes me at the moment. this place is a joke. they give you a menu to order from 10 days in advance, i don't even get the food i ordered. for the past 2 days i wasn't given dinner. this morning i got sick in my room and it took 2 hours for it to be cleaned. the night staff always has a "i'm better than this job" attitude and directs it at patients. the other patients on the floor seem to be extremely hostile to each other, starting fights and verbal altercations, making it very uncomfortable. only reason i am here is because
